The real question is, will POTUS stop playing with the elevators long enough to make it to Scotland? "We were playing with elevators" - The Big Guy, Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021

    Biden's
Chinese, Russian and Saudi leaders didn't go to Biden's BIG 20 economic summit. I bet fewer go to the silly environmental meeting in Glasgow. China has already told Biden to pound sand about reducing use of coal.

Biden's credibility on climate is in the balance at the UN summit in Glasgow

President Joe Biden made no secret of the fact that he wanted to show up at the U.N. summit in Glasgow with powerful climate measures signed into law to prove the U.S. was making good on his ambitious pledge to slash emissions. He will arrive Monday in Scotland with none of the above, as ongoing wrangling within his own party casts a shadow of ambiguity over landmark U.S. climate legislation.

    From the link:

Sharma noted that China, the world’s biggest emitter of greenhouse gases, had just raised its climate targets somewhat. “But of course we expected more,” Sharma told the BBC earlier Sunday. India, the world’s third biggest emitter, has yet to follow China, the U.S. and the European Union in setting a target for reaching ‘net zero’ emissions. Negotiators are hoping India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi will announce such a goal in Glasgow.

How does one define success if the first and third largest polluting countries are not punching their weight?

The world should care about the climate....and environment. This s the only planet we have .......It is the one thing we all share........and we need to be more responsible in preserving it. We need to start planning for the future..........and get away from the instant gratification kind of living.

China' attitude is puzzling.......as it is known for planning for generations ahead.........and yet in this case...........it seems short sighted.

This should not even be a political issue.........just a pragmatic one that requires logical solutions. (using problem solving techniques and scientific data)

Nope. I don't. And won't "deal with" radicals spending my hard earned tax dollars on their pet boondoggles.

What does that have to do with man made climate change?

    you funny..................man made climate change

FL used to be underwater prior to man, prior to all of our evil ways

Are we so arrogant that we think we humans will be the last species to walk this planet?

no.......after humans self destruct ....and destroy their environment........ the planet will continue to host lower levels biological life forms.

Each part of the planet is being affected indifferent ways...... It is not isolated to FL.

Just a small increase in global temperature will submerge a lot of land in the US. This small increase will also be very beneficial to Russia due to opening up the whole of Siberia with its huge reserves of carbon fuels. So who will be the winners in this "war", certainly not those in the west who think that man-made global warming is a myth

In 1970 we had 11 years before we went underwater. In 1980 it was 9 years. In 1990 it was ten years. Occasionaly Cortez gave a 12 years awhile back.
    What a bunch of nonsense.

Imagine that. Pressure in an international meeting of governments. Never heard of such a thing. It will result in nothing as they always do.

    Lol

Have a virtual online summit so you "reduce your carbon footprint."

    Lol

Is there any level of hypocrisy and idiocy lower than flying you own private jet to a co2 conference?
