It's all about cheap labor. I don't think a amnesty is going to pass though as long as the Republicans have a majority in the House. Most Republicans in the House are against it but they have to hear from their constituents to counteract lobbyists like the Chamber of Commerce. Immigration reform in 2013? It has a champion in Corporate America. - CSMonitor.com
Cheap immigrant labor might work wonders for keeping down the bottom line and increasing corporate profits, but don't these corporations realise in the long term all these impoverished immigrants will give birth to many impoverished children, who will vote for politicians who want to raise taxes on businesses and force all sorts of ridiculous mandates and quotas onto private business? And what about everyone else? The middle class and working class families, who won't be able to compete with all these impoverished migrants who are willing to work for peanuts and put up with poor working conditions, without benefits? What about the schools that will become overburdened with all the many children these impoverished immigrant families are having? Will taxes be higher on the middle class to pay for all these low income children? I read it costs 15,000 US dollars per year to educate one child in a public school, and many of these immigrant families have 5 or 6 children. But honestly, "amnesty" is not the real problem here. It's just the tip of the iceberg. All these illegals are allowed to stay, regardless of their legal status. No one is enforcing the law. And then as soon as they have a child, that child is automatically granted US citizenship. That alone would not be a problem, except they are having 5 to 6 of these anchor babies per family, and on top of this the latinas are tramping around their neighborhoods getting themselves knocked up by whatever gang-banging cholo they happen to come across.
What about all the horrible traffic in the overcrowded cities? Adding more people is not going to help. Los Angeles has some of the worst traffic in the country:.....................................................................Orange County, California: No, there is no big car accident up ahead. This is just how it is in the morning and the evening right after everyone is driving home from work. Fridays are even worse! One estimate says that nearly half of the young adults in California are children of recent immigrants! (source: http://www.urban.org/uploadedpdf/412203-young-children.pdf ) Here is the congested roads in Atlanta, Georgia: Traffic congestion in Atlanta has become so bad that the Chamber of Commerce called it the greatest threat to the city's economic prosperity. The city, which has seen a large influx of hispanic immigrants in recent decades, and is now known as the “Poster Child of Sprawl,” is among the deadliest for pedestrians and motorists. Congestion on the overcrowded roads results in a traffic accident every 2.8 minutes in the metro area. The accidents further aggravate congestion, and cost the surrounding county $4.7 billion per year. The Cost of Traffic from Illegal Immigration: Traffic frustration, wasted fuel as the engine runs while the car is stalled in traffic, longer commuting times, more noise, smog, pollution, car accidents. The annual arrival of 1.5 million legal and illegal immigrants is overburdening our already crowded roadways. Americans are spending more time sitting in traffic than ever before: in a typical day we spend 46 minutes commuting to and from work. The cost of traffic congestion is immense. In 2005, congestion cost $78.2 billion in America’s 437 urban areas, up 7 percent from 2004. Population growth and the ensuing urban sprawl is worsening the situation, resulting in year-after-year increases in wasted fuel and time spent commuting. A new report by researcher Edwin Rubenstein exposed the costs of unending migration into the U.S. at: “$1.6 Trillion Needed to Repair and Maintain Nation's Hospitals, Schools, Parks, Water Supply, Bridges, and Basic Infrastructures.” Immigration will be responsible for more than 80 percent of the spending needed to expand infrastructure capability between now and mid-century, according to the report. Ed Rubenstein examines 15 categories of infrastructure: airports, border security, bridges, dams and levees, electricity (the power grids), hazardous waste removal, hospitals, mass transit, parks and recreation facilities, ports and navigable waterways, public schools, railroads, roads and highways, solid waste and trash, and water and sewer systems,” reported Fran Griffin of Griffin Communications. “The American Society of Civil Engineers estimates that $1.6 trillion dollars is needed to repair and maintain U.S. infrastructure in next 5 years. The massive influx of immigrants into the U.S. is increasing the demands on an overburdened infrastructure, much of which was built shortly after World War II and is outdated and deteriorating.” Who will pay all the taxes it takes to fund this infrastructure? The corporations that hire illegal immigrants? Or the middle class?
About That Overpopulation Problem Research suggests we may actually face a declining world population in the coming years.l
That's right! Brimelow explains it:
Well they cant get the effing Americans to work! Screw America! Lazy asses (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) about it and collect benefits. Screw them!
There are some Americans taking advantage of collecting benefits but most Americans will work at most any job, as should be evidenced by the show T.V. Dirty Jobs. Some of the jobs on that show are unbelievable! However, Americans want to be paid decent wages like years ago before the illegals lowered wages. Construction is a good example.
But look at all of those new cars on the road! That's a great sign of a booming economy. Plus the State gets a lot of revenue from all of those new car registrations. - - - Updated - - - Remember that when you're living under a bridge.
not really the clunkers can't pass the smog test there, so they force the public to be slaves to the new car payment$ to the bankers, and the matrix producers of them.BTW ever try to change even the oil on them now,? good luck they make them imposable for the average slave to work on them now
Those smog testing stations are an example of government corruption. They were created to enrich politicians' families and their buddies. Some States wised up and eliminated them.
Americans don't have to work anymore. Al they have to do is vote for Obama and the Democrats who give them government handouts to live on.
They have to push amnesty for them because the Democrats increased welfare, so many Americans instead of taking low wage jobs that now go to Mexicans are getting on welfare. When Republicans were ruling it made more sense for Americans to take those low wage jobs because they cut welfare through austerity, and the Corporations used illegal immigrants for the slave wage jobs instead of the low wage jobs. Now since more Americans are on welfare and not working with Democrats ruling, Corporations have to fill the gap for low wage jobs with amnesty or legalizing immigrants. As for the slave wage jobs, there will continue to be an influx of illegal immigrants as when Reagan passed amnesty in the eighties illegal Mexicans kept coming after amnesty for those already here.
Min wage is enough money and most benefits continue. The difference is they are paying into the system. There are millions of jobs out there as id proven by the legal and illegal immigrants.
