speculation that I heard back then....
The Pastor felt that there was a window of opportunity there to set in motion a spiritual awakening
that could have drawn the northern kingdom of Israel back to the true worship of the God of Abraham which
he felt could have delayed or even prevented the captivity of the northern kingdom of Israel by the Assyrian Empire.

In general, it is God that calls sinners to Jesus and calls some to ministry. The level of motivation that individuals within the faith have at times I think is left to other factors.
Still God has to intervene when the natural channels are blocked.
No Christian was going to have enough time to witness to Saul of Tarsus. Most were hiding. Those he arrested were promptly silenced. So God eliminated the middle man.
He did it again in 312 with the vision that started Constantine on his way to the cross.
Otherwise we can't be sure.
The question is: how could anyone see what happened that day and ever worship Baal again?
What would a series of long sermons have done?

a modern Prophet Daniel........
and I am thinking in terms of Ezekiel chapter twenty eight if I remember correct.............

A future political / theological leader is predicted who would be even wiser than Prophet Barry Wunsch ......... who is an off the scale well informed servant of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus!!!!

 

I would say that this man is the real deal.....
and a genuinely gifted person with a prophetic gift......
Prophet Robin Bullock has a Jewish last name but is also partly descended from the First Nations Tribes of the United States who are noted for fearlessness......
