Watching the 6pm BBC tv news last night – third item in was reportage of the highest influx of immigrants (for the year) since records began (see the following link for figures). http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38167225 (the gross immigration figure for the year is c. 650,000 - yes really!!) Then three items in the schedule later – reportage of the increasing crisis apropos the shortage of housing in the UK. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-37934815 Um, anyone see a connection? So much for my assertion that in Theresa May 'We have a good prime minister at last.'!! "Brexit means Brexit - unless it means European Economic Area (EEA)"??
Number of homeless children in UK increased 37% over 3 years Many living out of vans in the surrounding London area because they can't afford rent, shortage of housing
And we're stupid enough to be upgrading Trident at £gazillions knowing it will never be used in anger, when that same amount would end this so-called 'austerity', and make our roads usable again. 'Those whom the gods wish to destroy . . . . '
