Cruz said he’s “on board with restarting the economy.” “What Democrats want to do-- we're 100 days out from the presidential election. The only objective Democrats have is to defeat Donald Trump, and they've cynically decided the best way to defeat Donald Trump is shut down every business in America, shut down every school in America,” he said. “You know Nancy Pelosi talks about working men and women. What she's proposing is keeping working men and women from working. And, you know, ironically, what she does have in her bill? She has a big tax cut for millionaires and billionaires in blue states,” https://www.cnsnews.com/index.php/a...nts-shovel-cash-her-friends-shut-down-america Pelosi is all about shutting down everything through to November. She hopes to inflict enough disease and economic misery upon us in hopes that we will respond to her manipulation by voting Trump out of office. And she wants to cut taxes on the rich in the big urban areas around the country even though it would add to the deficit.
From what I have seen of the negotiations SINCE Cruz's Rant, it doesn't seem like Pelosi is going to get anywhere near what Cruz's delusions are claiming. The Final.Bill is a long way from final passage, but it seems like the GOP is doing everything possible to tamp down the Dem. Wishlist. As far as the idea of: "Pelosi is all about shutting down everything through to November. She hopes to inflict enough disease and economic misery upon us in hopes that we will respond to her manipulation by voting Trump out of office." ^That sounds like a GREAT Steategy. Just WIN! Trump MUST Go Also, this part: "it would add to the deficit". WHEN did Trump (and the GOP) start caring about deficits?
How much did Pelosi make off Amazon AFTER she realized the economy was shutting down and people would likely be using Amazon for items, including those required by law?
Pelosi and House Democrats passed a 3.5 trillion dollar wish list a couple of months ago. I could see as big as a 1.75 trillion dollar relief bill. Four more years! Keep America Great!
Trump is no fiscal conservative. We are aware but there still has to be some restraint. The only time democrats care about the deficit is when they want to use it to limit or oppose tax cuts.
Debacle: New York’s mail-in primary is *still* incomplete — after six weeks Pelosi: Full speed ahead on national vote-by-mail, or she'll throw a tantrum! The New York Times reports today that the vote count for the June 23 primary has still not been completed, and disqualified ballots are still piling up by the thousands:
Ted Cruz is just trying to "re-discover" his fiscal conservatism in order to stake his own personal political future in a "post-trump era." The GOP can't even present a united proposal from which they can negotiate with Democrats.
