I visited Cuba three years ago and found it to be very interesting. I read more about it, and discovered that it's not a Caribbean North Korea. It's a dictatorship, but there is a certain amount of leeway accorded to dissidents. I subscribed to a newsletter, The Havana Times, where some of these people write -- and also pro-regime people. A friend of mine, who lives in Havana, and who is a socialist, just sent me this, which I thought people on this forum would find interesting: Cuban Democratic Socialists to their American Comrades I would be interested in your comments, which I may copy and forward to my friend in Cuba.
Having been raised in Cuba when the Castro revolution was in full swing, I can't say a single thing positive about the Cuba of today.
