Can you help me understand where you're coming from on this. There are multiple definitions of cultural Marxism, so rather that chase down each one of those, will you tell what parts of Western Culture you feel are threatened, and why those parts are not to be challenged?

i dont particularly fault "average americans" as most dont have degrees in political philosophy and are busy working and living life, there is much discontent in our country from continuous trickled-down tax-cuts of Ronald Reagan, it does bother me that Reagan is still idolized by the right, and shows how much strong talking is important to them, their "image" of strength.. the US was ripe for a trump, and thankfully trump was incompetent at anything other than self-promotion

There is only one definition of Cultural Marxism. It exists as a fact, but there are many different aspects to it. Cultural Marxism is not western culture, it’s trying to destroy traditional western culture and replace it with minority sub-cultures. Some will say that’s a good thing and I’m too old to feel ‘threatened’ by it because I know what it is, but I feel sorry for the young who are going to have to grow up with it.

In Europe we know what all this is, Europe invented the isms. We had open borders, multiculturalism and 150 genders while you were still laughing at Europe and telling us it could never happen in the US. We saw Barry coming a mile off and knew what he was even if half of America thought he was a Messiah. The former Soviet dissidents also warned you years ago, so did Pravda.

As the Marxists crawl out of the woodwork and take over your schools, the crazies shoot them up, half naked men walk the streets waving rainbow flags, men in beards wear dresses and opioid abuse becomes a national pastime, what else did you expect to happen in your promised identity politics utopia?

The danger now is that the indoctrination is so great that the abnormal is becoming normal. Even 30 years ago what many see as normal now would have caused a national outrage and crisis.

Trump also comes in for criticism. His presidency shouldn’t have been about MAGA, but nipping this in the bud by mass firings of the leftists that took over schools and university’s and making organizations such as Antifa and BLM domestic terrorists. Also including American values an integral part of school curriculums so that the gullible that now can’t even focus on reality had a stop check. The majority of what you’re hearing now is from the Obama era children. No one did anything and that’s why it continues and it will only get worse.

i have been a leftist my entire life, yet i recognize that industrialized capitalism has given the world more growth than any other thing has, i believe most leftist merely want to "tweak" the system to employ things like social security, healthcare, a 40 hr work week etc, and yet history shows the right has blocked and hollered communism at each, and that is why i dont really care to read much of any rightwing opinion that even included the work "marxism" within it, another thing is the rights use of the word "facts" philosphy and the included study of "marxism: are what is called a "soft science" there are simply to many human variables to make it good for empiracal based research

Very astute and informative. Thanks. What stymied Marx's uniting of the working class was the upward mobility given workers by free private enterprise, liberty, and capitalism. The working class kept changing its stripes. Marxism needed a less mobile group for a continuing revolution. Enter minorities, which is why today (and put on steroids by Obama) they foster class division between blacks, Hispanics, LGBDQXYZs, or any other relatively stable group they can find.

Depending on how old you are, the Democrat party is no longer the party your father would have known. You’re now in the deep end of the hard core left. I’m British and both the current Democrats and Republicans here would be seen as extremist parties. I’m not talking of ‘tweaking’ the system, I’m talking about the ideology that’s trying to change it.

i am 66 and remember the JBS in the 50s-60s, and as will rodgers suggested the democratic party has never claimed to be an organized party...its an irony that the liberal icon bobby kennedy demonized the teamsters and the labor movement fell out of fashion as labor itself did not push for more involvement, and bill clinton became "republican lite" by pushing the NAFTA
agreement, which was started by conservatives, its true my faction is not dominant, but we are not dead yet, i believe the right has reached their zenith with the latest SC ruling and hopefully the extreme left slows down a mite

Some get it and some don’t. The indoctrinated will roll their eyes and talk about Scotch Highlands and subaltern neocolonialism. The different groups today aren’t based on class though, they’re based on identity sub-cultures. The new revolutionaries. It’s a unique experiment never tried before in history because the idea was so far-fetched it would have been considered whacky even a few decades ago. The results coming in from the European Union where it all began just over a quarter century ago aren’t good.

I don’t know much about the intricacies as I’m not American. :) I do know about political theory. The hard ‘left’ won’t slow down. They view the big picture in decades, not a single instance.

The theory of cultural Marxism started in the 1990's not the 1930's or 40's.
    Google "cultural marxism" in WIKI.
I have quoted the relevant text already.
There are seriously some who should never be allowed onto Youtube.

    Marxism is not cultural Marxism.
The original marxist theories were forgotten when someone thought it was attention grabbing to use the word Marxism.
    The two are entirely different.

The problem I have with Leftist being equated to Marxism is I know a lot of people that are politically left leaning and progressive. I don't know ONE that is Marxist or would support Communism. The right is fear motivated, they have boggy men in their closets keeping them up at night. Faux News and Blightfart have made of fortune peddling hate and fear; of what they aren't exactly sure but, if it divides AmeriCANs they've achieved their goal. At first is worked to get Conservatives elected, because the Conservative message was clearly NOT in the best interest of MOST AmeriCANs. And as we've seen Conservatism has been very good to the wealthy few while MOST common ~ everyday AmeriCANs are steadily doing ... worse.

Donald Judas tRump tapped into a new vein of Hate and Fear and found the mother load. Now, clearly 1/3 or more of AmeriCANs no longer care if Government By the People prevails as long as their second coming of Christ ... tRaitor tRump ... WINS!!!!

    Rugged individualism
    Emphasis on the scientific method
    Family structure
    Protestant work ethic
    Competition

They ought not to be challenged because they form the basis for the success of our culture.

one can watch documentaries on PBS that breakdown to trump used divisive wedge issues to gain support and yet the right will holler FAKENEWS just like trump does...all this will pass, but it is nauseating to be told about "misinformation" from trump supporters

And in doing so created the American ideal of rugged individualism.
Yes, and will censor their findings on the basis of political correctness. Do you think they should?
