    Well said, and let's discuss what happened in Charlottesville last Saturday.

    The violence on both sides of the barricades should give all Americans pause about the state of civil and political discourse in this country. However, there is no moving forward and resolving this problem unless both sides are honest about what happened.

    It's time for the Left to take that step.

    For years it has ignored the violent intentions and actions of the extremists within its ranks. If you think last Saturday was the first time ANSWERniks rolled into a demonstration looking for a fight, guess again. This photograph was taken at the March 17, 2007 March on the Pentagon (I was with the "welcome wagon" that greeted these *******s at the south end of the Memorial Bridge)...

    This crap has been going on for over ten years and it's time the Left acknowledged what's happening and spoke up against it.

    Thanks for the links. I'll take a look at them.

    I live about 40 miles from Boston and we're there all the time. I never notice any racism there. I'm sure there is - it's everywhere. But I've never heard it to be a problem.

    Oh no, you have cousins who live in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts? I feel bad for them. It's a fun place to visit but I'd tear my hair out living there for a lot of reasons.

    I had a cousin who lived in Mass for most of her life. She said that unless your family landed at Plymouth Rock, you're not a local. She was always treated like an outsider.

    And she'd be exactly right, too. My husband and I are transplants to New Hampshire (from New Jersey originally) and we both have business in Massachusetts. Our customers treat us like pariahs because we're not from here.

    Never been there myself, closet I ever got was Amherst. But I have cousins there who love it and I also have family living in Connecticut and NJ. As for Boston, I've heard the food is OK (not like NJ) but I don't think I could ever warm up to white clam chowder.

    The food sucks compared to New Jersey. When we go there to visit family, we are out to eat every night because you can't get good food up here. Not even in the north end of Boston, contrary to what the locals say.

    Not a clam chowder girl. Not even a fish girl. Ugh. Nasty stuff.

    Amherst is a lovely town.
