    i think it’s only right, the DNC has a history directly leaked to slavery, Jim Crow and the KKK. Heck they just nominated a guy to be president that opposed desecration of schools...i remember the pain in Sen Harris’s voice at the dem debates when discussing his racist past

    And while we're at it, there's a slew of places named after a KKK Kleagle. It's so odd how the Democratic Party has yet to address that. Is it possible they still support the Klan after all?

    Come to think of it ...

    Golly, it's like the DNC has this huge history of racism and yet somehow BLM hasn't mentioned it or anything and the Investigative media seems to have missed these facts in the rush to condemn all racist parts of the US' past. Sure is curious, huh. Why, it's almost as if BLM and the Legacy Media is getting it's marching orders from somewhere or something.

    "Trail of Tears Party" works much better as it honors prez Jackson, DNC icon and party-approved stance on Native American rights.

    Louis Gohmert is a Complete Looney Toon, a Conspiracy Nut, and a Birther.

    He is completely off of his rocker, and Everybody KNOWS that.

    On July 29, 2009, Gohmert signed on as a co-sponsor of the defeated H.R. 1503. This bill would have amended "the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of president to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the office of president under the Constitution"

    On January 3, 2013, Gohmert broke ranks with the House leadership to nominate outspoken Florida Representative Allen West for Speaker of the House, although West narrowly lost his bid for re-election in November 2012, and was no longer a member of Congress.

    Also, 5 YEARS AGO he was promoting the same sort of IMBECILIC Shtick:

    In July 2015, Gohmert delivered a speech to the U.S. Congress in which he called upon the Democratic Party to disband due to its historical support of slavery and racism

    Except, 5 Years Ago he was calling for the Entire Democratic Party to be Disbanded.

    It seems rather hard to imagine that anyone would take him seriously in 2020.

    Conclusion:

    Gohmert is making a mockery of his position (and ever since he started promoting Conspiracy Theories like Birtherism, Etc., nobody (even colleagues from his own party) has taken him seriously).

    Can you address this issue? Do you believe the Democratic Party does not have a deeply racist past or that it does not matter enough to warrant a name change? Has to be one or the other. Which one?

    Just go back to it's roots the Democratic -Republican Party.

    What would be fantastic is if it was the current Trump party gets the phlock out of the Republican Party and takes on it's spiritual and philosophical name The Know Nothing Party. Or they could modernize it with "Don't Know Schiest Party". Then those real Republican who are part of the Lincoln Project can take the party back.

    They really should change their name. They are the party of:
    • Slavery
    • KKK
    • Trail of Tears
    • Jim Crow
    • Biggest Opposition to Civil Rights
    • Segregation
    • Horrible Public Schools in Black Areas
    • Police Departments deemed "racist" in cities

    The Democratic Party should have to change their name to something more appropriate:
    • Slaver Party
    • Communist Party
    • Progressive Party
    • National Socialist Non-Workers' Party

    If Democrats should change their name because of **** that happened 70+ years ago, Republicans should change their name because of **** that has happened in the last 3 years.

    Whatever racist past they had was turned around over 50 yrs ago, and ironically the Republican's took them into their party.

    Republicans are hardly the moral party :)
