Anyone who has been paying attention realizes that Americans give the gov't to party A, then they give it to part B, then they give it back to A, and on and on ad infinitim. Doesn't mean they particularly like either party but rather that Americans are endlessly hopeful that someday the country will get lucky and have a tolerable government. I think the polls were tracking pretty well until a few days before the election when President Barack "It's about me" Obama told the world that whether his name was on the ballot or not the election was about him and his policies. I could hear every Democrat politician running a campaign say, "Thanks, (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)." I believe that is when the landslide started and threw the polls off. There were a few close races, like Gov. Hickenlooper in Colorado, when Democrat crimes played a role.

 

I harken back to the days of OWEblamers bipartisan talks on the stimulus package and am reminded of his idea and spirit of negotiation and unification to reach out to the Republicans... and I quote, "I won. So I think on that one, I trump you." Now America is repeating those words back to OWEblamer.
