Al Fraken?

Give us some examples. We have no trouble citing examples of Limbaugh's fearmongring, bigotry and anti intellectualism. It's his stock in trade.

Limbaugh found a niche and exploited it. He gave Archie Bunker a voice on a national networked radio program.

And he made a lot of money because there are a lot of Archie Bunkers out there.

But that time is fading. His average listener is now on Social Security.

 

He admits mistakes?

I don't recall him doing that.

When he got caught perscriptions shopping and pled out, he claimed he was exhonerated, when in fact he plead guilty in return for PBJ.

That isn't admitting making mistakes.

He never corrects his numerous false claims, but then his audience doesn't know any better and never holds him responsible.

He was separated from this third wife for months and kept talking about her as if they were still married (they lived in separate houses).

Limbaugh does a lot of things, but take responsibility and admit mistakes are not among them.

Example 2:

Rush didn’t say Faisal was a donor. He said he was an Obama supporter. Perhaps he attended rallies. Maybe he did have an Obama bumper sticker. You don’t have to donate to get a political bumper sticker. WSJ didn’t prove this was a lie at all.

I don’t need much more to know your Rush-bashing sites are nothing but leftist propaganda.

 

You mean sort of like when Clinton didn’t admit to his lie until he got caught? Isn’t that the circumstances in which MOST people stop their illicit behavior? They get caught?

Are you going to sit there with your contempt for Rush’s addiction and claim you know the first thing about addiction and the stranglehold it can have on someone? Rush is human. His original reason for taking the pills was from a spinal injury. Then he got addicted. I work with the military and see this almost every day; how easy it is to get addicted to these pills. You don’t even realize it’s happening. Should I even bother any further, or is your foaming hatred for the man so deep that you’re unable to see this? The guy got clean. He moved on. You seem unable to do that.

As far as his wives go… what damn business is it of yours? Do you even know the circumstances behind his divorces? I don’t. I want examples of where he talks about family values and divorce that would reveal his hypocrisy.

Hate him or love him, he is still THE MOST listened-to radio show. It seems to me people appreciate what he does. You can vilify the man and run all the false accusations about him that you want; but you can’t take away his success; and how he molded politics in this country.

And yet you've yet to show a lie Limbaugh has told. How can I be making excuses for someone that has nothing to make excuses for. I know Limbaugh has misspoke, got his fact wrong, and made some mistakes in his life; just as Clinton has. But I'm not going to run around casting them as 'liars' as though every word that comes out of their mouths is a lie. Disagree with Limbaugh's politics and we might agree on much. Reduce your feelings about someone, because of that disagree, to the lowest form of debate "liar liar pants on fire", and you've just proven that all you have in debate is to express your hatred for someone.
