The new Democratic Party platform embraces some notable changes on cultural issues that uncoindentally overlap with the president's views, including some he has only disclosed recently (such as his support for same-sex marriage and for the restoration of the previous ban on assault weapons in view of the recent massacre (the worst in U.S. history) at a Colorado movie theater). Thought you might find the info interesting. One will not be surprised to learn that I am in agreement with all of the platform positions described in the article (minus its statement of fundamental support for the Second Amendment, which I believe should be repealed).

270 million guns in legitimate sales means how many proactive gun owners? I'm sure this platform will go over well.

like the Dem party did not have the majority LBGT vote in their pocket anyway ? I have to wonder how many they alienated with this stance. I recall a statement by black clergymen a few weeks back denouncing this. The Catholic church is already POed becasue of the BC pill thing, this does not help. At times I wonder if "Little Debbie" Shultz is a GOP plant in a plan to decimate the Democratic party. She sure looked stupid this morning on the Fox show

They are looking to light a fire under the ass of queers. It's all about "get out the homo vote".

Debbie Gefiltefish Schmaltz is the greatest gift the GOP ever got.

Something tells me, that they still have other things on their platform that will get them the black vote.

they already had the black registered voter, it is just a question of getting the registered voter transformed into a likely voter that is the issue. Slightly off topic but I wonder how many Catholic swing voters Ryan will attract.

Yes, generational welfare. A real accomplishment as it has gotten them 90% plus of the black vote for fifty years. Blacks have been enslaved since they came here, and it will never end only now they are willing and eager participants.

Valid point, in that case, I'm guess less than in 2008, but those who did vote, will remain Democratic voters.

There was something awhile back in regards to his budget, that actually peeved Catholics off.

Don't care what you think about. They have a plan, and it works.

Progressive left collectivists exploit useful idiot gays to create a wedge issue strawman for "the center" to chew on. News at eleven.

"Social democracy" economic collectivism cannot come to pass without continued political power to frog boil it in through policy

    Wake up.

Obama has not managed to get a budget passed since he took office, I was referring to the birth control issue

Being a practicing Catholic Ryan may pull over some of the Catholic swing votes, not a sure thing but we will see

Yeah, it's working out real good for all those bruthas and sistas in the hood, huh?

I guess it all depends on what your goal is. If the goal is a stupid ignorant voting block who can be used as numbers for Democrap victories, yes it works. By all other measures it fails and worse, it's criminal.

Was Obama a hater when he was against GM? Are blacks who are opposed to GM filled with hate?

Do NOT think it's "accidental" that economic collectivists on the progressive left singled out and went after a rich, white business owner (and by extention, the right wing and capitalism) for his Christian belief system

(I know you understand such...I'm just using your post to nail it home)

"Victims" of right-wing "oppression" and capitalism are excused for their Christian belief system (or "hatred", as progressive collectivists have defined it)....

    they're already on the Plantation.
