The left thinks Trump did his taxes by himself in his basement? When large accounting firms sign on to to your corporate taxes, they become accountable for every claim they provide to the IRS. Like I said, that’s not the definition of energy independence. This is just you moving the goalposts because you hate Trump.

That aside, if the DOJ or the New York Attorney General decide to charge Trump with any crime or crimes they will have to hand down indictments with evidence of a crime or crimes detailed in that indictment. If that happens, Trump and his attorneys have every right to plead not guilty and defend him. That’s how it works.

If you’ll remember, Trump’s campaign mantra was to lock up his opponent. However, once Trump’s team took over power in the Executive branch for 4 years, they did nothing thereby proving that all of their accusations were a bunch of hot air. If no charges or indictments are made against Trump, the same could be said of the Democrats. However if Trump IS indicted it will indicate that there certainly may be some criminality involved in Trump’s actions. I look forward to reading any such indictments if and when they are filed.

Trump did not want us to have cheap foreign oil, he wanted us to sell all our oil first, then have to beg other countries for their oil

The definition of energy independence is a joke, the idea of of energy independence is a fairy tale told to make people like you feel good.

The price of oil is based upon the worldwide supply, it does not matter how much comes from us. I an oilfield in SA is blown up tomorrow the price of oil goes up for everyone, even the US. So, how can that be "independence". If Iran blockades the strait of Hormuz the price of oil goes up for the whole world, the US is not exempt from it just because we produce some of the oil being sold.

I have moved nothing, I have been 100% consistent in my statements about the myth of energy independence. As long as we rely on other nations for the price of our oil, we do not have energy independence
