Not everyone hates the rest of the world as policy, there are some of us that actually LIKE new things and new people. Now if some people are all overcome with how much better they are than anyone else, well yes, nobody likes them, including even themselves for the most part. People like that generally pickle in their own vitriol until one or another dread disease manifests their mindset in their physicality and ends their miserable existence. Sad for them but good for all of us since that kind of dysfunctional thinking can be contagious.

I think you're actually right on this. What it does signal is a move by Hispanics towards independent voter status. There will be some Republicans and probably more Democrats, but independent voters will make up the largest bloc of Hispanic voters. In 2016 Democrats were saying the growth of the Hispanic Demographic would move them into permanent majority status. You really think that's going to happen now?

 

People can acquire those qualifications quite easily, if they are let to.

if that were true we wouldn’t be spending hundreds of millions on English as a second language classes in public schools. They can even learn English after they get here like so many in past centuries did. Having some kind of skill or advanced education and being willing to assimilate into our great melting pot of people from everywhere wanting to be Americans.

Early American history had people coming here to make something of themselves and the country, now it's a lot of hand outs and people who refuse to fix their own country- before abandoning it. Many nations in the world have become problematic and one very common reason for that is that their cultures have become increasingly polluted by nationalistic bigotry directed against others. We should welcome immigrants from them so we can study them as cautionary object lessons, not manuals for what to do ourselves

 

Hate to say it, but that is a truly ignorant statement.
All around my area, there are many menial jobs open because most natural born Americans don't want to do those jobs, and the list is increasing.
In fact, there aren't nearly enough Americans who want to learn how to do the skilled labor jobs, one's that many immigrants could learn.
I guess it must be different where you live, with all the jobs no one wants to do are filled. You should talk to your local business owners in your area, I'll bet they have a different take on it.
