The question on everybody's mind is "Will Bill inhale?".

I can see why some people would think she has no particularly ideology of her own. Her shameless willingness to do anything and everything to obtain power (and money) makes her look like she has no soul.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that she is a learned disciple of Saul Alinsky. When your MO is "the ends justify the means" you generally wind up looking like a scumbag.

As a lifelong student of American history, I don't know where Mark Brown comes up with the fanciful idea that many of the Founding Fathers were socialists, and I think it has to do with his sloppy idea of what constitutes socialism. The only person I know who could be considered both a proto-socialist and a Founding Father was Thomas Paine, but Paine was an Englishman who had little to do with the founding of this country and establishment of our Constitution and government.

I'm not a Bernie supporter and I'd love to see that, too. :)

Haha, something tells me we'd both like the DNC and RNC to be no more. ;)

If Hillary gets indicted, who would you like to see get the nomination?

I'm thinking it will come down to Bernie or Biden...

    Of course it will.

    Dems should count on it.

Bernie kids said they will "Occupy" the convention.

I'm trusting it will be like previous Occupy demonstrations. :)

That and half of each party.

It's been entertaining in its own nauseating way, but I'd be perfectly content to never witness another train wreck of a presidential election like this again...

I just want the grassroots of each side to be able to put forth their candidate.

It happened in '68 when the progs went ape (*)(*)(*)(*) in Chicago.

I don't see why it can't happen again.

The trophy for last place generation was ill prepared to deal with economic realities. Sen. Sanders promises a lot of free stuff, including education.

Never underestimate the power of free stuff.

    One down, one to go...

The Democrats have been really slow to open up their process. This year could change all that, but will DWS & Co. share power?

Democrats will not let go of their wall street ties easily. I think Sanders people need to look at how the TEA party crashed the RNC and your establishment. It was well done.

Its hard for the collective to break away from the hive mind. Resistance is futile.

    Why should they?

That might sound cool to the anti-capitalist Left, but it's only going to make the party more dependent on unions, special interest groups and fat cats like Tom Steyer and George Soros.

There's not much to learn. The grassroots Left has to force the DNC to share power.

There should be no money allowed in the political process, it leads to corruption. I don't think we can share power with the power hungry, the DNC establishment has to be destroyed and thrown out of office. Liberal voters are the problem.

See, the grassroots of the right are middle aged, middle class workers. The grass roots of the left are unemployed and poor greedy hipsters in hundreds of thousands of dollars in student debt. Its kind of hard to sustain a movement without special interest groups funding your whine fest about your feelz and safe spaces.

    That will never change. :)

The question is, will progs do more than pay lip service to democracy and dispense with the Dictatorship of the Proletariat?

It's not free, the wealthy will pay for much of it, those who trade in the stock market, and a slight increase in taxes.

Socialist are power hungry. You cant have socialism without power. If you have 50.1% of people wanting one thing, and 49.9% of people wanting something else, you must FORCE the minority to give up what they want.

Bernie already said everyone will be taxed more.

Money isn't the problem. Corrupt politicians and the imbeciles who support them are the problem.

"Everyone" as in every productive working American who is contributing to society. The moocher class won't pay anything more for Comrade Panders' "political revolution".

You know this as well as I do - socialists have always had to bleed the middle class to get what they want. Ungrateful kulaks and peasants will be liquidated...

And you don't think money/lobbying/PACS corrupt politicians?

    - - - Updated - - -

You don't understand socialism and what it actually is. It's where the people own the means of production, not private individuals, not the government. Think worker cooperatives.

One thing is sure with Bill; I am providing the stuff. Bill's stuff isn't bad, but there's just no telling where it has been, and sometime it does smell weird. :eyepopping:

    Maybe.

Read the article; it's not long and will answer some of you queries. The sole reason it wasn't called "socialism" was because the term hasn't been invented yet.
