Copenhagen is unstoppable, according to a new Lonely Planet report. It puts the capital of Denmark in first place among the top ten cities to visit.
“Denmark’s capital of cool is unstoppable. New-Nordic Noma has gourmands swooning with its new digs, urban farm and groundbreaking Scandinavian menus.
The city’s booming street-food scene is smashing it on Refshaleøen, where a former shipyard is now rebooted food and craft market Reffen,” Lonely Planet writes.
What is striking is that almost all European capitals are absent in the ranking. There’s no Paris, London, Brussels or Amsterdam for example.
A European city that is on the list is the Serbian city of Novi Sad. The travel blog writes about the city that is ranked in third place..

    https://www.lonelyplanet.com/best-in-travel/cities

In my personal opinion, in a few years Copenhagen will drop from the list like London and Paris because of the large number of Africano & Islamo Arabo immigrants within them.
I wonder why London and Paris got off the list. What do you think ?

Maybe because of the title of the publication pushing it,Lonely Planet??Are they promoting places where you won't encounter crowds??

No. It says it on the article: Top Travel Cities in 2019. Why are Senegal and Serbia on the list? And why is México on the list? Anyone who wants to get his head chopped off—is that it?

If Serbia, Senegal and México are "Top 10" destinations in the world, then I'm John Snow.

And who wants to go to Paris anyways. It's worse than Somalia right now. A lot of criminal activity there. Only a Kamikaze will want to visit Paris right now.

I admire Denmark's living standards and their economic system.

I would like to go visit there someday.

Denmark's living standards are one of the most oppressing ones. What's there to admire haha. Denmark's personal income tax is 66%. Highest in Europe. This means if you make a thousand dollars, you're only getting $340 and you're giving $660 to the state. That is pathetic. Only a truly wooroloo person will admire this, no offence. And Denmark has a full ban on guns and knives. Welcome, opressionism.

I said that I like their economic system, didn't say anything about their laws or customs.

If I'm not mistaken their currency is valued differently in rates compared to United States dollars.

They're offering free education. That's their economic system. But it's a great lie. Just by the income taxes and import fees on cars and taxes on vehicles they're turning that "free education" be far more expensive. You don't want there. Trust me. It's just website and media propaganda. People are also cold. Most of them won't talk to ya.

I'm an advocate of state healthcare, worker apprenticeships, unions, and education for all citizens.

That's why I can never be a libertarian or neo conservative, I despise their transforming all of society into a zero sum game where only some win while a majority loses out. I'm a utilitarian meaning I believe in maximizing happiness, security, and prosperity for a majority of people. I like some instances of socialism, I believe in social capitalism where socialism and capitalism is combined to make a more efficient market social economic system.

While we can all never be equal I do believe in equal opportunity and also the general social public welfare of society as a whole.

    As for Denmark.....

You are wrong and talking with no first hand experience about Denmark. I believe you are applying East EU mentality on Nordic countries.

Your money spent on taxes is felt, the goverment is not corrupt(actually the ranked first) and all money is redistributed with brains: infrastructure, top class recycling, environmental stuff, and many more.
Their medium salary is 4k, which leaves a person with 2k. How much do you earn after tax reduction in Bulgary? How much of taxes money are ill spent or lost on corruption?

Guns.. Why people need one if everything is cool and peaceful?

People are cold? Have you heard of hygge? They are the happiest people in the world.

    Have you been to Denmark?

I think you're reading a little too much into this. London, Paris and Amsterdam are probably too mainstream for Lonely Planet customers - they're looking for something a little more quirky, a little less mainstream.

Even that, to say that these cities suck and are not worthy or safe to travel, is a lie and stupid.

I would not suggest to travel without an agency in Africa, that's not safe, but you backpack travel without problems in most of Europe.

Ah, but the right-wing nationalist message is that many European cities have been overrun by swarms of Muslims, that simultaneously Sharia law is in force and that those cities are lawless hellholes which are completely unsafe to be in.

Without doubt there are parts of London (or Paris) where I'd be very wary of going, but they're typically well away from the main tourist sights and I can visit these cities with reasonable expectation of a safe visit.

Morroco is lucky. They have their king Mohammed 6 and they had Hassan 2. Both of the men can be rather harsh, but they managed to jugulate extremists in their kingdom. I have friends who visited Morroco, it's kind of nice.
I have some friends who come from Senegal, islam in Senegal and in this region (but not in Mauritania or Mali) tend to be very different from the one in Nigeria or Northern Africa. They are used to coexist in a peacefull way with other religious communities and globally most people learned to care of their own business when it's about religion.

But yes, Paris lost a lot because of the african (northern or subsaharian) immigration and some districts are very district. I would like Paris to get rules like Singapor. Death penalty for drug dealers and huge fines for people who mess around. Singapor is a very clean city. Maybe death penalty for drug dealers is a little bit too harsh however.

We see whose mentality is "East EU". I at least, know that there's no such country as "Bulgary" lol. You have Internet, open Wikipedia and educate yourself a bit at least. I don't know. Your Denglish is giving me nightmares and super cringe.

It is list that doesn't agree with mine. So it means nothing to me. Copenhagen is a lovely city but beyond the mermaid in the harbor and Tivoli, I fail to find more than modest attraction in it personally. Obviously Lonely planet disagrees. To each his own.

Really ? I guess we're looking for different things then.

I've been fortunate to go to Copenhagen a few times. One of our closest friends is Danish, her family comes from Funen and we've stopped off in Copenhagen on the way to family christenings, weddings and major birthdays.

You're probably right that Copenhagen doesn't have enough "top drawer" tourist attractions to keep the trophy-hunting tourist happy for more than a few days (though I'd add the royal palaces, museums and art galleries to the list), but then again that's true for most medium-sized cities. The thing is that that's not the kind of traveller that the Lonely Planet series is aimed at, it's aimed more at the person who wants to go and attempt to immerse themselves in local culture rather than tick sights off a list. I could happily spend hours just sitting in Nyhavn watching the world go by (if the weather is good) or finding a coffee shop that does a great "slice" of hygge (if the weather is bad). I find the Danes to be very interesting and despite not having any Danish beyond a few pleasantries and beer, food, directions have had some great times just chatting.
