…He went on to say that an open Internet is one of the most important things for our country to survive.

“So I just don’t believe that this country survives, if you don’t have an open Internet, and, so we’re here to open the Internet back up, give people their voice back,” Nunes said. “And I just thought it was a more important role for me to leave and take on this fight than it was to stay in the Congress. Because I just don’t believe if you don’t have if, if people can’t do basic communications with one another…”

He continued to criticize the political left for their rampant censorship of conservatives on other social media platforms. “So how can you have where one party, far-left party in this country, controls all of those social media companies? A republic cannot survive. And I think that’s the one thing that the fake news just can’t get their arms around. Because they wrote, they write so many fake stories that they actually believe them,” Nunes said.

Nunes also talked about California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) recent decision to join TRUTH and how the platform welcomed him with open arms. However, he believes that Newsom and his team only joined the platform in an effort to be removed from there.

“He goes and he signs up, gets an account, brags about it, puts some kind of inflammatory and a left wing propaganda on there. And I really believe him, his team thought that President Trump and I were going to boot him off the platform,” Nunes said. “But instead we did the opposite. We welcomed him to the platform, I put out a welcome to Truth message, our TRUTH Social account welcomed him.”

Nunes said that TRUTH Social’s goal is to “make social media fun again” and emphasized that the platform’s focus is not just on the political realm.

“We want to make social media fun again, you will see on there that the pictures are very good,” he said. “The videos – we have great meme makers and video makers that do funny videos, and often, you know, that aren’t political.”

evin Nunes was exactly right about what he said regarding the Internet as reported by Breitbart News. We need an open censorship free internet for all. Truth social is a safe place for all viewpoints. It is being built from the ground up slowly so that no one in big tech can shut it down.

You have an open internet. Right now. I might not like what some people do with the servers they privately own, so what? That's called freedom.

What we need to be doing is exactly what we are doing: create alternative platforms like Daily Wire Plus, Parler, Truth Social.

Look for durable networks which cannot be easily shut down, master the use of encryption throughout.

Or, like me, simply withdraw from most/all of it. Delete all your social media accounts, cancel all your streaming subscriptions, go outside and live life instead. I can't emphasise how positive it has been for me to NOT talk to people through binary code, instead discuss in real life where proper discourse can actually occur.

Nobody has ever changed their mind on the internet. Smash your smartphone with a hammer today.

Is it freedom or is it that they are being threatened by the legislative and executive branch with additional regulations if they do not censor the regimes political opposition?

To conservatives, open internet means unmoderated internet. It means being able to say the N word without being banned.

Trump social is open, lol, so if one goes there and is critical of Trump, they won't get banned, anyone expect us to believe that?

nunes is adamately opposed ro free speech!

The ridiculousness of Devin Nunes suing ‘Devin Nunes’ cow’ — and what it really signals - The Washington Post

Nunes is suing @DevinCow, along with another parody account called @DevinNunesMom, Republican strategist Liz Mair and Twitter as an organization, alleging a concerted effort to defame him and work against his 2018 reelection campaign. He’s also accusing Twitter of unfairly targeting conservatives through a practice known as “shadow banning.” He’s asking for $250 million.

What might be most notable about Nunes’s suit is that this is the first battle he chose. Nunes said on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show Monday night that this is “the first of many” lawsuits to come. Does he really think his most obvious and airtight case involved ... @DevinCow and @DevinNunesMom?

The solution to that is, if true, hand down rulings prohibiting those members from doing such things. Not to seize or commandeer private servers.

......and the web site he manages requires an I Phone for access. They could have consulted me before doing something that stupid.

That is a ridiculously broad sweeping generalization is is such that it applies to virtually no conservatives at all. When African Americans like Ben Carson, Tim Scott, Condoleezza Rice, Clarence Thomas, Byron Donald’s, Diamond and Silk, the AG of Kentucky or the Lt. Governor of North Carolina speak up we see who the real racists are.

I’m on there from time to time and they do not. Gov Newscum went on there with the intent of getting banned and was not.

Go on Twitter and say there are only two genders. Go on Facebook and say a man is born with a penis and a woman a vagina.

See how long your posts and/or accounts last.

not the point, if Trump says he is supporting free speech, then he needs to support speech critical of himself

if one is hating on trans twitter users, ect... yep, they will be banned on twitter

Biological fact =/= 'hating on trans'. Yet on Twitter you'll be banned for so much as using a trans person real name. Did you see the recent chain banning of people who were reporting on a pundit's reference to Ellen Page? These psychotic LGBT thugs wont so much as allow a reference to the past if it involves pointing out that trans people had to transition from something. We're all just supposed to pretend that Ellen Page was always 'Elliot' Page.

So now tell me who's trying to censor the web, Fresh, is it the right or the left?

Personal truth trumps biological fact:). You didn’t know? Hehe. The Eliot page fiasco is no different than someone claiming they’re 10 and want to enroll in middle school, when their birth certificate says they’re 70.
