Did Jesus resurrect in Heaven or in Hell?

Scriptures, as they often do, give both options as true.

The Bible does what it was created by the Jewish authors to do. Make us question and judge.

Without Midrash, the Bible is just another useless myth.

In one version, Jesus tells his fellow prisoner on the cross that they will both awaken in heaven.

Another version has Jesus awakening in hell, where he toils for 3 days.

One old adage might say, if one day is 1,000 years, Jesus is almost at his 2-year mark.

There is a confusion as to who received Jesus as a sacrifice, Satan, or the androgynous Yahweh.

If sacrificed to Satan, she rules the world.

If sacrificed to Yahweh, Jesus rules the world.

Into whose hands did Jesus ascend, Satan’s or Yahweh’s?

I cannot know where Jesus ended via the bible, but think there is a valuable moral lesson here, but do not quite have my finger on what it is. Help.

What is your best guess as to where Jesus is?

    Regards

    DL

Jesus is in imaginary land. No one by that name existed before 1630 AD.

Pretty sure it was Heaven seeing as how he's the Son of God and all. Puffy white clouds and golden halos, you know the story.

Yes, but those he was to save were in hell, not heaven.

Hell should have been his destination.

You already know the answer if you think for a minute. When did the letter J become part of the English alphabet, around 1630 AD?

Google the etymology of the letter "J" and the name "Jesus.

How did we get the name Jesus when the Letter “J” didn’t exist in Jesus’ time?

Don't Mormons say he went to America after he was said to have been killed

newly discovered bible stories are saying they killed the wrong person, Jesus was not killed

After extensive research into this subject, I compiled the shortest, most complete summary I could muster, and it goes as follows:

In the original 1611 version of the King James Bible the letter “J” didn’t exist in Hebrew. The original Hebrew name of Jesus is “Yhwshua.” And no, that’s not a typo, Hebrew didn’t use many vowels. This Hebrew spelling, translated from language to language, filters down into the name we know today as Jesus. The filter is as follows per Matthew Phillips (source link provided below).

“Four step process to erase the official or Orthodox Hebrew YHW’shua: Is a process that took nearly 1600 years to evolve…
    1) The Hebrew YHW’shua was abbreviated (remove HW) in Aramaic: Y’shua
    2) The Hebrew/Aramaic Names were transliterated into Greek: Iesous,
    3) The Greek was transliterated into Latin: Iesus [1611 KJV has Latin spelling]
    4) The Latin was transliterated into the English: Jesus”

To clarify, the consonant form of J was not known in the 14thcentury, therefore, both J and I used the Y sound, as in the word “yes”. So in Greek, Iesous would be pronounced Yesous, and the Latin Iesus would pronounce to Yesus. In the 18thCentury, the letter’s J and I were split into a consonant and a vowel, and J was adopted as the consonant letter. Now, since this new consonant J was closer to the sound of the modern Y, the letter J was chosen in the translation to Jesus.

    Source: Matthew Phillips https://www.quora.com/If-the-letter...600-how-did-Jesus-get-his-name-2013-years-ago

In any case, the Lord God has many names: Holy One, Good Father, Lord, Messiah, etc. and it doesn’t matter which we call the Creator of the Universe as long as we know he is the one true God; The King of kings, and the Lord of lords.

So then you falsified your own claim.

Near death experiencer Dr. Kevin Zadai in chapter six of his free online course entitled "Heavenly Visitation" reports being shown that the resurrection of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus took place in hell....
the lowest level of hell specifically......
and the energy blast deformed many fallen angels......

This was the clearest explanation for this that I have ever heard in my sixty two years....
this course is free of charge..... and he has a second free course entitled
Days of Heaven on Earth that I just finished yesterday.....

I found this explanation so inspiring and moving that I listened to chapter six over and over again several times....
I actually listened to the entire course over again several times but chapter six is astonishing....

Salvation isn't a multiple choice exam. It's a path, with a beginning and an end. One begins at the beginning.

What is the point in answering your question? If I reveal the answer how many will believe? How many will scrutinize the answer and then tear it down or make fun of it. Would it change anybodies mind?

Your wanting a place? I can assure you of one thing, he did NOT descend into the deep abyss where Lucifer and his minions reside.

Pretty sure his appearance among the Nephites in the Book of Mormon was after he was resurrected. Mormons believe that between his death and resurrection, he went to the spirit world to establish his gospel.

On Earth, hence the tomb being open. I don't know of anywhere where the Bible says Jesus was resurrected elsewhere - so Heaven and Hell are both wrong answers.
    I disagree.
"Truly I say to you today, you will be with me in the Paradise." is what he actually said.

Today is used as an emphasis word. While today commonly used in Hebrew, a modern equivalent would be "I'm telling you right now, . . . "

Jesus believed in the physical resurrection not the Greek philosophical ghost in the shell spirit.
The Bible uses the Greek word Tartarus. This is not the same as what you might consider Hell. He went to Tartarus where some were imprisoned. 1 Peter 3:19 says he went there - not that he woke there. As Jesus was described as having the ability to teleport, this would not be a problem. There is no mention of three days.
I'm pretty sure Peter is talking about God but even so, it would be the 2-day mark.
Right . . . the satisfaction and ransom atonement theories. Yep, they are both bad theories.

Jesus wasn't sacrificed to anyone. Unless you think death penalties are sacrifices to the state, in which case, Jesus was sacrificed to Caesar Augustus.

A better way to think of it is that Jesus sacrificed himself for his friends, in obedience to God, and to fulfill his own prophecy. This is what Jesus states.

    John 15:13 NLT
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

    Luke 22:42 NLT
“Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

    Matthew 12:39-40 NLT
But Jesus replied, “Only an evil, adulterous generation would demand a miraculous sign; but the only sign I will give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah. [40] For as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.
Right now, according to the Bible, Jesus is in Heaven.

First in heaven/ paradise to meet the thief on the cross beside Him who he had promised to meet in heaven........ (I assume from the time of his death to sunset on Wednesday evening)..... .then three days and three nights in hell.... then back to the earth for forty days......
    then in heaven......
at the right hand of the Ancient of Days the Father.....
while the Holy Spirit left Her Throne and went to the earth to make war Her own way.....

You seem to be arguing about the literal spelling of his name rather the potential for his existence. The spelling depending on language transitioned from Y to I to J.

I believe the real debate of his existence often involves 3 potential contemporary writing about his actual existence.

He said to the repenting thief on the cross "I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise". Saying "I will see you in hell later today" would not have been something anyone would want to hear.

Paradise at that time was the good side of Hades / Sheol, aka 'the place of the dead' where the righteous waited for entry to heaven, and where the sinners lied in torment waiting for judgment in the other side of Hades. After Jesus died, he went to Hades to fetch the righteous to heaven, but while He was there He also went to the "abyss" and spoke to the "spirits in prison, who once were disobedient". There is debate about these spirits, but most believe they were fallen angels who corrupted humans spiritually and physically (by having sex with humans - "sons of God mating with the “daughters of men”) during the says of Noah.

“God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to Tartarus / Abyss, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment.”

"And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day"

Yes... this promise had to be kept....
I personally believe in a Wednesday crucifixion... and a Saturday at sunset resurrection... which if true would indicate that between his death and his burial toward sunset on Wednesday... Jesus would meet the thief on the cross in "paradise" ...... This is an important part of the all that had to happen from Wednesday to Sunday morning at that time......

That week had two Sabbaths..... a High Sabbath, the First Day of Unleavened Bread on a Thursday as well as the weekly Sabbath from Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset......

He went to 'preach to the imprisonned', which likely means either the condemned or the dead, so hell or 'purgatory.' I take this mean at some point after our physical death but before or spiritual transition to the 'next life', the truth of things will be made known to us by Jesus Himself so that we can choose our path with clarity instead of choosing it through the limited perceptions of the deceptive physical world.
