Sanders was leading Trump by 10+ points in '16, is even more popular now and a huge chunk of Trump's voters in '16 were Sanders supporters protesting Clinton's nomination.

If he had gotten the nomination in '15 he'd be president today and it'd be an even more 1 sided contest if he gets the nomination thus year.

If you had wanted to leave the word "WON" in the OP Title.

You would've need to change the first word to "Has".

    EIther:

    Did President Trump just WIN

    Or

    Has President Trump just WON

Since you have already passed the editing window, maybe you could ask a Mod to edit the title (to correct the grammar).

Anyway, horrendous grammar mistakes aside, the premise of the OP is ludicrous at this incredibly early point in the 2020.

Imagine what next year's speech is going to be like.

And, PS--You might want to work on the English Grammar.

    Carry on.:salute:

The DP will never give the nomination to Sanders. I suspect he knows that now.

He's the front runner. And now that instant runoff is mainstream, he can threaten to form a new party and be taken seriously.

In the hermit kingdom of the totalitarian state of California, English is politically incorrect.

Press #2 for proper English grammar.
Then wait for two hours of listening to mariachi music before you get to speak with a real human who speaks English with a heavy foreign accent.

I certainly admire your tenacity but, brace yourself, The New York Times agrees with Apacherat. :)

"“Trump succeeded,” lamented one moderate former Democratic lawmaker who asked to speak on background. “He got my party to lose its marbles.” The lawmaker cited calls by party activists to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency — calls the Warren campaign did not formally endorse but did little to refute — as emblematic of the party’s broader problems.

“What do Democrats stand for?” he asked. “Lawlessness or liberality? Policymaking or virtue signaling? Gender-neutral pronouns and bathrooms or good jobs and higher wages?”

As is his way, Mr. Trump wasted little time rubbing salt into Democratic wounds. “Democrats used to stand with the Working Man,” he tweeted Wednesday morning. “Now it’s the party of Abortion and Amnesty. All that’s missing is Acid. Sad!”

Sanders is not a real member of the DP club. And the DP nomination is For Members Only.
Even if it costs them elections.

Still wrong. Is MAGA grammar where you pull out a turd - then polish it in hopes that people won't notice?

He votes with Dems and is their top fundraiser... He's an 'independent' only because it protects him from political fallout when they do something stupid.

    Hilariious.

Making a long list to explain the grammar, and STILL leaving the mistake?

    Trump would be proud.

Sanders is not a crook, so the DNC will never let him win the DP nomination.

“Before I called Bernie Sanders, I lit a candle in my living room and put on some gospel music. I wanted to center myself for what I knew would be an emotional phone call.

I had promised Bernie when I took the helm of the Democratic National Committee after the convention that I would get to the bottom of whether Hillary Clinton’s team had ***rigged*** the nomination process, as a cache of emails stolen by Russian hackers and posted online had suggested. I’d had my suspicions…”

One can but hope, but they will give it to Biden rather than let Sanders win.

“Over 30 years of flat-lined wages, the near-death of the union movement in this country, loss of over 70,000 factories in just the past two decades—it all added up to a people's revolt.” …

“Out of this ferment came two “change” candidates: Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

Both said banksters should have gone to jail and homeowners should have been bailed out. Both said Bush's wars were wrong. Both said that our neoliberal “free trade” policies were working to the advantage of the elites and the disadvantage of working Americans. Both recognized that our immigration system is broken (although offering different solutions). Both said they wanted to strip power from the billionaires and the political elites and hand it back to the people.

Either could have won the White House, although Bernie was far more credible and carried far less baggage than Trump.”

But Bernie was never able to hold down a real job in the private sector.

It was Barack Obama and the failed Democratic policies that put Trump into the White House.

If John McCain were have won in 2008, Trump would still be in the private sector and Vladimir Putin would be playing golf on the Moscow Trump Resort Towers golf course today.

And if the British had won the Am. Revolution, George Washington would've never been there.

If Obama could have run for a third term, then Trump would still be in the private sector.

McCain was a proven loser. The Clintons and the MSM would have humiliated him. Did he ever gain enough sense to ditch Steve Schmidt?

“Around the time of that Game Change premiere, Politico's Maggie Haberman reported that Schmidt's business partner, Brian Jones had written a memo ten days before the 2000 election about how best to shield Schmidt from blame for the campaign's inevitable loss. "A well-organized and coordinated effort is needed to defend Steve's good reputation," Jones wrote in the memo to two other associates, Adam Mendelsohn and Kirill Goncharenko. (Schmidt says he did not know about the memo.)" Mark Leibovich, This Town, Penguin Books, 2013, p. 288.

Trump needs to worry more about keeping him and his brats out of the slammer before even thinking about winning 18 months from now. Even then, unless the Democrats nominate Hillary Clinton or some other unlikeable candidate with tons of baggage, he will have a hard time winning. The Democratic controlled congress will no doubt hold endless investigations into Trump and his sleaziod associates leading up to the election much like the GOP controlled congress did to Hillary leading up to the last one. I wouldn’t get to cocky about a Trump landslide in 2020.

You do realize that all of your whining about Obama could just as easily be attributed to Democrats right?

I'm thinking back when I was very active with in the RNC and when some were pushing G.W. Bush (41) back in 1988 to have Donald Trump as his VP running mate.

But Bush went with the father of GPS, Dan Quayle.

I remember what happened with the Republicans in the House went really stupid and impeached President Clinton.

The problem with Democrats they don't know history and have been indoctrinated in cultural-marxist revisionist history.

Trump only works at the top of the ticket. The problem for the RP will be finding another Trump in 6 years.
