https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/jun/12/scott-adams-donald-trumps-critics-running-out-of-t/ Scott Adams: Trump's critics running out of 'trap doors' to explain good news “Dilbert” creator Scott Adams told his large following on social media this week that President Trump’s critics are running out of psychological “trap doors” to explain his effectiveness. One of the first social commentators to predict Mr. Trump’s campaign success says his historic meeting in Singapore with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is likely to produce large amounts of cognitive dissonance. “It may be my imagination, but I thought in the last few days online on Twitter that the level of vitriol and insult for Trump supporters and anybody who says anything about him is higher than I’ve seen in awhile,” Mr. Adamssaid Tuesday morning. “Instead of trailing off because good things are happening — you’d expect people to say, ‘oh, OK, I’m not going to criticize the president this month because good thing are happening’ — it went the other way, didn’t it? It — just in the last few days — it looks like it spiked.” . . . . Y'gotta have sympathy for the cognitive dissonance sufferer. Their reality is in question. Moi r > g Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic, regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.
Scott Adams makes a lot of interesting observations. He does a daily periscope on twitter and I try to catch it every week or so if I have time.
Trumps critics are just going to criticize regardless, we all know that. They don't have any credibility with their constant whining. We can see evidence of this daily here. I have asked liberals here multiple times to say one thing they like about Trump and I've never gotten a response. What we get are things like "he's getting fat so he may die soon". Its absolutely ridiculous at this point.
Although they may enjoy a good Dilbert chuckle the "I Hate Trump" crowd remains silent on this thread. how ironic. They need to hire a prostitute to get pictured hanging around Trump, then broadcast it. The ole fashion set up. Got any other ideas for "trap doors" as expressed by the article above?
The more positive things President Trump accomplishes, the more democrats get their underlovlies in a bunch. Every gain Trump and the US has, the more worthless democrats appear.
Which Dilbert character best represents the democrats? I am somewhere between the Pointy Haired Boss and Wally. I am inclined to go with the Pointy Head Boss. Wally is useless, but harmless.
Trump toadies will defend racism and attack private enterprise wherever their disgraced deity is even peripherally implicated. The reality is that cartoon boy's racist public outburst came after a long deterioration of his product as it had become an increasingly ideologically-deranged, humorless scree. Adams became a vocal supporter of Trump, saying Trump had a hypnotist’s skill in attracting followers. The editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, which dumped “Dilbert” last year, said the comic strip “went from being hilarious to being hurtful and mean.” The Los Angeles Times, which joined dozens of other newspapers in dropping the comic following last week’s remarks, had quietly replaced four of Adams’ strips last year. “He kind of ran out of office jokes and started integrating all this other stuff so after a while, it became hard to distinguish between Scott Adams and ‘Dilbert,’” said Mike Peterson, columnist for the industry blog The Daily Cartoonist... In announcing that “Dilbert” would be cut from the Kansas City Star, the newspaper’s community engagement editor, Derek Donovan, said Adams’ “antagonistic, childishly macho persona” has been a constant for years. Your attempt at diversion from the Trumper cartoon boy's overt, racist tantrum fails. "[T]he best advice I would give to White people is to get the hell away from Black people, just get the f**k away!"
This thread isn't about Adam's racist comment. It's about y'all's TDS and on that, he's absolutely correct.
"[T]he best advice I would give to White people is to get the hell away from Black people, just get the f**k away!" If racists derive glee from a fading cartoonist's anti-American hysteria, that is their business. I defend free market capitalism, and the right of an employer to dump a liability.
The original intent of this thread is 5 years old. I’d say Adam’s racism is absolutely the point of this revival.
