Excellent article. It is certainly a real and serious problem. But how do you get people to stop ripping the nation in half and understand that most of our divisiveness is coming from our failure to understand how we're being manipulated. This is something I posted about in this thread-- http://politicalforum.com/index.php...for-social-media-refo.579786/#post-1072124561 French is focused on what people are doing and how we shut down civil discourse, but he doesn't spend much time looking at what I see as another crucial aspect of this--our use of technology to spread misinformation, and how the technology is being used to manipulate how we see the world.
