'Lifetime ban on those lobbying for a foreign government." This, Trump. If you get this done, I don't care WHAT else you do. You just got yourself on Mount Rushmore.

This guy can't even handle an SNL skit. Jesus, you right wing puffs couldn't handle Obama speaking sternly to congress after over a years worth of obstruction, yet you basically called him the anti-Christ. Yet here is a man yet to take office going balls to the wall against the free press.

Seriously, he hasn't even pumpkin-picking taken office yet and he is pulling this infertile crap. I am truly, truly am at a loss at the ridiculous BS infantile brain numbing crap that is about to happen over the next 4 years. It's going to be be insane.

I think you're taking this too hard. We all know he has flaws, it's his aspirations that people voted for, and his attitude towards this "safe space" mentality that has turned a multitude of young adults into barely functional neurotics. Trump has surrounded himself with some smart and qualified people, so things seem hopeful. I wouldn't tweet over the SNL skit, but I'm not really bothered that Trump does as long as he does good work. We will see.

You guys are in no position whatsoever to call out transparency issues. After the last 8 years of everything but transparency the left needs to sit back and take their punishment...which is warranted after what they have done. The media being the first. These despicable media heads are traitors and should be in jail for intentionally lying to the public and abusing their power of the media, so they should count their lucky stars that the worse they got is being told to their faces what scum they are. Trump is already mopping things up and he hasnt even been sworn in yet. This is great news. I hope the scum media got the message but I doubt it...you cant fix left.

They don't have to ignore him completely. They can still write about him, but they could do it in a sterile manner instead of hounding and chasing. They don't have to use cameras.

But my larger point was, this is all just fake drama manufactured by Trump. If the media decided not to give him all the attention, he would be singing a different tune. I never said that paying a lot less attention to the president is probable, just that the outcome from Trump would be.

That us a load of constipated bull crap. Every president has had their fight with the media and has made an attempt to control the media. What is important fir null of us to remember is that this country has survived as a small d democracy is that we have had a free press. Every dictator be it Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, Salazar, Nixon, Tito, Mussolini, Edi Amin, has either surpressed the press, shot or inprisoned all reporters, or castrated them.

Those of you who are cheering the attempt by LICE to suppress the free press are cutting your own throats.

Our founding father may have at time complained about the press but they purposely put fights in the Constitution to prevent a president from becoming a dictator or a king by having the press wink at him.

If they leak anything it's just more ammo that proves exactly what he's saying. So when they want access he can simply say, wasn't that you that leaked private info?

Alright fair enough with that quote. And I suppose a parallel could be drawn between Patton's reckless behavior in pursuit of his own glory and Trump's similar actions as well.

Okay, I was wrong. There are some similarities. Not good ones, but they exist.

EDIT: I thought the guy who played Bradley could have easily played FDR too.

Our founding fathers saw the absolute necessity in a free press. The problem is as this election showed the media was not free or unbiased or accurately reported. The media is controlled by special interests and prima Donna network execs and anchors who honestly think their opinion is the news. The 4th estate lost its way at the upper levels years ago and this election really put a spotlight on that.

I'm hopeful that they can do some soul searching but I think their arrogance will prevent much progress.

Good on Trump for the spanking and he holds all the cards

This is what Trump's presidency will look like. He'll be tweeting and whining non-stop for the next 4 years. Gad, he has an ego like the Hindenburg.

Was there anything in the "Patton Papers" suggesting that he deliberately avoided military service? Please provide a link.

Yet another self inflicted wound for Trump.

If he imagines that media execs are going to allow him any such further access to their time he is delusional.

They will simply refuse to attend further "off the record" meetings with him and that is going hurt Trump badly because he needs the media more than they need him now.

Trump's addiction to the media means that he will be going through withdrawal systems shortly.

But at least we know that he will be consistently shooting himself in the foot on a regular basis so there is that to look forward to.

Trump's battles with the press will be in lieu of actually getting anything done.

He thinks he's a celebrity on the Apprentice.

Trump was elected because he stood up to the elitist that have run this country into the ground and giving their media a good old fashioned ass chewing is more of the same. He is not going to make the same mistake so many Republicans made in trying to suck up to these ars holes, he is telling them to go (*)(*)(*)(*) themselves and his voters are standing and applauding.

From all accounts it was nothing more than Trump bloviating to an audience who can ream him out for the entire period of his regime.

Really dumb move on his part to lambast the media this early on.

From this point forward every single thing he does is going to be scrutinized and reported on no matter how trivial the mistake might be. The media are the voice of the people and they will be telling him loud and clear to get his act together and if he doesn't they will hold him accountable.

It used to be that the POTUS and the media had a decent working relationship and they managed to do their jobs without too much in the way of conflict.

All that Trump has done now is guarantee that there will be nothing but conflict between his regime and the media.

Really stupid move on his part.
