If it was green and dripping with slime that would be interesting. Like a novelty showbag...

And notice that you have to opt out of the monthly recurring donation

You know what, I hope all of Trump's fans donate all their money to him. He will appreciate your generosity by updating Mar-a-Lago estate so that when you see pictures of it (because, no, you're not invited), it will look "fabulous!"
The old adage goes something like this: "a fool and his money are easily parted". Or, "there's a sucker born every minute".

Begging for donations is a true sign of an eternal loser.

People donate to a politician because they believe that that politician is doing the right thing, not because they were asked about it. But DJT never did nor will do the right thing, so he must fool his believers that he's a patriot, sometimes with a football.

May God save the USA from a 2nd Donald Trump presidential term. He's not only a danger to the US but to the whole world.

That is a good point. How does this work from a taxation perspective? If he hasn't declared a run for political office isn't he just selling stuff? Are money received through political donations not taxed differently from regular revenues? If he never runs again does he have to give all the money back or report it as income? I wonder what category of income it is classified under.

I wouldn't be surprised but my question is serious. Lets say he never runs again. Someone decides to buy the football and gives recurring donations of $50/month. Is that just regular sales revenue or is it something else? I don't think politicians pay taxes on donations received. People have touch on it in this thread but it is essentially begging. How do beggars report income? Is there a category for it?

Beggars don't report income or pay taxes. Campaign funds are returned to the government when the campaign is no longer active. Candidates are allowed to receive contributions to pay campaign dates until March of the year following the election. Imagine the insanity of contributing to the campaign of someone who lost an election. That boggles my mind.

I guess that dumb Trumpsters won't see my post as advertising. All others are surely able to detect my strong rejection of this fat, ugly, incompetent, and orange mo'fuxxer.

I am sure the majority of beggars wouldn't but given the complexity of our tax systems I assumed their would be a bucket for it.

Thanks. That is an interesting piece of the puzzle. So how is Trump still collecting campaign donations now when it is well after March. Shouldn't he have to officially declare a run for office in order to receive donations? Right now he is just a private citizen that is asking for donations.

I never voted for the guy, but I do admire his ability to get people working for him free of charge. You are not only helping him spread the word, you must admire him to emulate him as you do.

I truly hate this guy, but that's not the same hatred that DJT spreads. He hates Mexicans a lot, as well as women or veterans.

My hatred is directed against a certain person (Trump), while his hatred addresses large groups. Let's call Trump's policy "group-related misanthropy". I think that fits.

Indeed, Donald's contempt for citizens in uniform is especially shameful. Anyone claiming to be a patriot never mocks the fallen. But Donald does. He's a fat business guy who gives a sh*it about his country.
