I believe that we will find out which one of us is right. I believe we will find out in the relatively near future. I believe that for Trump & Co (Kelly, Tillerson, and Mattis) allowing NK to have nuclear ICBMs that can reach US soil is out of the question. I believe that if China does not take some sort of significant action, the US will attack NK's nuclear assets. Then we'll find out for sure where China sits.

I saw Limp Wrist Lindsey Graham say there are military options for N Korea, and " chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, suggested Saturday that Americans must be prepared for the possibility of a military confrontation with North Korea, "

This is my fear that the coward DimWit Donnie will get all macho and authorize a strike against N Korea.
That would cost the lives of up to millions - Koreans, US service people, and, quite possibly, Japanese as well.

Maybe America should carpet bomb NK for three straight years and kill their babies.

    Again.

Trump needs to tell China that if we do end up invading North Korea that the US will set up a permanent base with 50,000 troops stationed right on China's border. That is the last thing they want and it might spur them to take some action. The ONLY country that can possibly remove Kim from power without resorting to military force is China and even that is a risky gamble. If you want to avoid bloodshed China must be convinced to take action.

I don't blame Trump for feeling that it might be necessary to go to war with North Korea. All the previous Presidents from Clinton to Bush to Obama kicked the can down the road knowing full well that one day this problem would rear its ugly head. The second that it was discovered that North Korea was staring a nuclear weapons program we should have wiped them off the face of the earth. Now look what we are stuck with because we couldn't be bothered to deal with the problem when it first appeared. But that is typical US foreign policy, just ignore a problem until you can't ignore it any longer and spend 10X the resources that you would have if you dealt with it right away.

It's not Mao's China. Mao died more than 40 years ago. North Korea is a relic of Mao's China. Modern China is sympathetic to North Korea, but China will not intervene in any actions against North Korea.

In any event, the US will not take any military action against North Korea.

You are 20 years too late to stop a nuclear war that may kill millions

America could have stopped north korea when clinton was president but liberals then as now wanted to just sit in the corner and suck their thumbs

If he does, S Korea, Japan and the U.S. will all face a challenging war. Should we go to war with a nation we're not even willing to talk to for a diplomatic solution?

My gut feeling on this is something big is in the works right now and any morning we will wake up to news that America has launched a massive attack on NK. The sooner the better IMO, the longer we wait the worse the situation becomes. The left will cry wag the dog, the Lilliputian countries will wring their hands and call for Trump's head but US cities will be safe from this nut job and that's Trump's job. America first.

I agree with you on every point. We are at an historic crossroads. NK must end and dismantle its nuclear program very soon, or China will do something decisive, and, if China doesn't, we will.

Just give SK a few nukes and see how important Seoul really is to them.
