Arm the border, auto turrets would be my personal choice but I'm sure thats illegal Implement national e-verify Mandatory penalties against business Mandatory penalties against sanctuary cities Why republicans didn’t actually do something when they had complete control of the legislature is one of the biggest failures of the party (next to the obvious corruption). A wall is a stupid idea with as much area has to be covered.
They give you the option to argue your case? Don’t recall ever being offered the chance. Dang! You’re not correct, but I don’t suspect you’d be convinced otherwise. I just find it useful to understand other posters understanding of facts. Asking them to explain a thing I “should already understand” does just that. Sorry you don’t appreciate my methods. Oh, and I’ve got no intention of reporting your post. I’ve got pretty thick skin.
Ahh Mr Moonglow nice try but no cigar.....Its not republicans that refuse to come to the table to close the border, its not republicans screaming they want open borders and to abolish ice and the border patrol like some far left dizzballs. You cant spin and deflect this to the gop, the border, sanctuary cites and states are ALL YOURS
Are you forgetting about the $20 billion Democrats offered for the wall in exchange for DACA? Trump originally was all for it, and then his base got wind of it. And there was also the "Gang of Eight" deal the Republican senate killed. So don't claim Demcorats "refuse to come to the table".
end the war on drugs, stop funding these cartels and gangs "Drugs in Portugal: Did Decriminalization Work?" http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1893946,00.html "Judging by every metric, decriminalization in Portugal has been a resounding success," says Glenn Greenwald, an attorney, author and fluent Portuguese speaker, who conducted the research. "It has enabled the Portuguese government to manage and control the drug problem far better than virtually every other Western country does." the war on drugs is a failure "5 Years After: Portugal's Drug Decriminalization Policy Shows Positive Results" April 7, 2009 ]http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=portugal-drug-decriminalization "Ten Years After Decriminalization, Drug Abuse Down by Half in Portugal" http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkai...lization-drug-abuse-down-by-half-in-portugal/ remember, the abuse is there legal or not, just one makes criminals of those that did not abuse
simple, Americans just need to stop buying the drugs from them time to end the war on drugs, been going on long enough and it's easier now to get drugs then when it started, prohibition doesn't work, it just creates crime lords and makes recreational activities criminal, just like when alcohol was made illegal
Sounds like a good plan. Nothing like creating a new terrorist organization on our southern border. Think we’d keep civilian casualties below a thousand?
I’m curious how this is a democrat problem, with a republicans controlled White House and senate? What have republicans done to address the problem? What did they do when they had total control of both the congress and the whitehouse from 2017-2019?
Republicans had total control of Congress and the whitehouse from Jan 2017-Jan 2019. They did exactly nothing about it. Republicans still control the senate and White House. This is entirely on the GOP.
"Democrat Open Border"? Are you serious? This is ALL Happening on TRUMP's Watch. Event: Drugs Pouring Across Border During the Trump Administration (which is 100% Trump's FAULT, and Happening on Trump's Watch). RW Take: "It's the Dems. Fault". You can't make this up. Besides, everybody knows that Trump is taking kickbacks from the cartels to keep the drugs flowing smoothly. How else, is Don gonna keep powdering his nose?
The gang of 8 is a moot point and ancient history, get up to speed with something realistic. The republicans rightfully dont want daca, we need the border secure then revamp our entire immigration laws. We are getting MURDERED financially do you even understand what millions of illegals are costing us. Educating their children, the link below shows what it costs to educate EACH illegal immigrant child, by state https://www.governing.com/gov-data/education-data/state-education-spending-per-pupil-data.html The cost of their healthcare in hospitals The cost of welfare and other public taxpayer assistance The court costs and the costs of INCARCERATION for each inmate, up to 55,000 a year per inmate if he doesnt get sick The loss of jobs and the artificially low labor wages because they work for less. American taxpayers are paying for ALL this, because Democrats want VOTES
Uhh the house is democrat unfortunately, I suppose next you will tell me that sanctuary cities and states were started by republicans to encourage even more to run over the border.
So the Democrats DO negotiate, you just don't like their position. OK, but don't say they weren't willing to negotiate when we were prepared to give you $20 BILLION for your stupid wall in exchange for DACA. Man did you guys F-up on that one. You could have had everything you wanted. Trump's wall would be 500 miles long at this point, and going strong. Trump could rightly tell Democrats, "Those Republicans wanted to deport the kids that are here, and I stopped them! Me! Those kids are safe now, they never have to worry about being deported, because of me!" Do you have any idea how powerfully that would resonate with liberals? Trump would easily be at 50%+ with a seemingly good economy (it's **** if you're in the bottom 40% or so), $20 billion worth of border security under construction, and DACA enshrined in law. What an absolute moron for passing up that deal. Anyway, Yes, there are costs associated with illegal immigration. We both agree. Do we both agree that we're not going to round up and deport 15 million people? That that's politically impossible? We have the most anti-immigrant administration in a long time and an ICE agent can't even fart without people coming down on the agency like a ton of bricks. The idea of rounding up and sending 15 million people through the immigration court system is laughable. So then the question is: what do we do with the people here? Citizenship? Quasi-citizenship? Not-eligible-for-government-benefits, but not deported so long as they behave themselves citizenship?
You can't create what already exists. The American causualties of cartel poison far exceed several thousand.
Are you referring to Americans wanting, acquiring, and consuming illegal drugs? Then sure. I can see why you think that’s the same as killing civilians with drone strikes. That’s never done anything to radicalize populace’s against the United States.
Exactly. And Trump is facilitating that by taking kickbacks from the Cartels to keep the supply running smoothly.
