    Yes good description.
    Wikipedia defines eccentric as ..
... in behaviour, odd behavior on the part of a person, as opposed to being "normal" (hmm "Odd?")
... in mechanics, a wheel that rotates on an axle that is displaced from the focus of the circle described by the wheel (hmm off centre)
... in astrodynamics, calculated from orbital state vectors as an absolute value of eccentricity vector or using other methods based on orbital energy and angular momentum (Ah .. me to a tee, nothing quiet like "Angular Momentum")

Politics: No particular side, I vote using a complicated algorithm combining their policies, their views on my special interests areas, their core beliefs, their honesty, their abilities to get their point across, their willingness to listen and learn.

I have contested two elections as an independent candidate.

Quickly my beliefs are that the government should be 100% be in control of several areas.
Health, Education, Welfare, Infrastructure, Security, Policing and Defence.
That the government have regulatory controls over others.
Business, Investment, Banking, Land use, Service Providers,Transport, etc.
That the government should have guidelines and operational parameters for other goods and services.

Now I suppose that all sounds pretty bland but I assure you it isn't if you follow some of my threads you will see I can be extreme right one minute and extreme left the next. I do generally however hover some where slightly left of centre generally.

Ultimately it is not what I propose to be that is important, but what you interpret me to be is.

Whether I am right or wrong is not the final consequence I seek.
I do not debate to prove I am right but to find the truth.
Whether it is YOU who says it or ME, is not important.

    Sounds like fun.
Two things keeping me here. My herd of pets, and lack of funds. As soon as I find a pet sitter and a money laying hen, I'll be there.

I wrote this in another post and I know this could be against the rules but part of it is relevant here.

I have walked if not with then among most parts of society and have found that those we think are the cleanest are the dirtiest, they just have more garbage bins.

When young I rebelled, joined a biker group spent 4 years there. Later I joined the army where I remained for 6 years an obtained the rank of corporal and was an amoured vehicle crew commander. Before and after the army I worked in Kings Cross, doing various things from the good to the dubious. My first stint was just after the Vietnam war and the R&R days when the cross would be full of military personnel on shore leave.

Here I lived worked loved and played in the underbelly of Sydney.

During my military service I met my true love, the military life didn't suit me and marriage so I left. I went to uni, obtained a degree, bought a home (mortgage) and settled down to a normal family life.

Cancer took her away at 36 and left me with young children and a gap in my employment history of 6 years, my home had been repossessed so I set out to start again.

I moved back to Sydney and got a job with an area health service where I worked for 10 years until I had a mental collapse from trying to work in such a screwed bureaucracy.

Now I walk softly, I listen carefully and I say my piece. If stirred enough I will jump up and down and wave my arms and shout. But I'm old and disgruntled and will take no S@#T from anyone.

I just noticed my age number is one more then it was yesterday. Does this mean I am closer to being wise ... or ... senile?
