To Eddie Gallagher: What you did is not a case of "stolen valor." What you did is a crystal clear case of dishonorable behavior unbecoming a SEAL. You know it. Your team members know it. Your UC knew it when you did it. Your PU no doubt fully understood it. And, without question the CINC of the Military knew it. Regardless, of what CINC knew or knows - YOU knew and know what you did was grounds for immediate dishonorable recognition - which is precisely what you got - because YOU earned it. And, regardless of what anybody else knows or knew, YOU know full well what dishonorable distinction means as a SEAL. Fall on your sword and get it over with. Do what you knew full well you must do. Anything less (I mean anything) only serves to plunder your already dishonor deeper into unrecoverable territory AND it serves to blight your FAITHFUL TEAM MEMBERS who server with both Honor and Distinction. You blight all of us who wore the Uniform at one point or another - either at present or in a past life. You know what this stage is all about. Do what you know is the right thing to do at this stage.
