In a recent TV interview, Egyptian actor Ahmed Bedeir said that if he were the Emir of a terrorist group, he would attack Turkey. It is "the source of all terrorism, so I would feel comfortable there," he said. Bedeir also said that when Hamas took control of Gaza, it began to attack Egypt and forgot all about Israel. He called Obama the "Satan of this world," and said, with regard to foreign intervention in Egypt’s affairs: "They can go to hell twice." The interview with Bedeir aired on Egypt’s Al-Hayat TV on August 15. https://www.memri.org/tv/egyptian-a...re-terrorist-i-would-attack-turkey/transcript Turkey is not the source of all terrorism .. but they are responsible for some of it. The Sultan is responsible for many terrible things that happened to the proud Kurds. It's sad that the Turks relected him again.
Well, the Armenians sure have an axe to grind in addition to Kurds. I only personally know two people from that region, an Algerian and an Egyptian, and they talk more about SA being the main financer of terrorism.
Turkey the source of terrorism???? What's the evidence? (I'm talking about 'terrorism' as it's used today, not the Armenian genocide, etc.) Mid-East (including Turkey) politics is hard for an outsider to decipher. Groups that seem the same, like ISIS and Al Queda and the Taliban will suddenly start killing each other. And Turkey is a particularly hard nut to crack, in terms of understanding. It has always (for the last few years) looked to me like the Turks -- by which I mean the ruling party -- wanted to be the alternative, for Muslims, to both the extreme Islamists, and also to those who appear to simply want to emulate the West, and also an alternative to the straight-forward secular or semi-secular military dictatorships of the Ba'athist type. That is, they would play successfully the role that Iran could have played, had they not been Shi'as: uniter of the Muslims. This would appear to be a pretty strong card to play, so long as Turkey's national aspirations don't cut across those of other Muslim nations. Although I don't know how Arabs feel about people who were their conquerors and rulers for so long.
Saudi Arabian–Turkish relations refer to the current and historical relationship between Saudi Arabia and Turkey. The countries enjoy a friendly economic relationship, but has been tense in political relationship. The former has an embassy in Ankara and a consulate–general in Istanbul; while the latter has an embassy in Riyadh and a consulate–general in Jeddah. Both countries are full members of the World Trade Organization.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if the USA's "rebellion" was put down by the British? I can see it now .... "George Washington was an evil terrorist that tried to bring the colonies to a bloody halt. He was a terrible man and even cut down a cherry tree with a child in it!"
