I think most of them are anxious too. The first thing out of their mouths is all this business about the "surplus population" which, of course, will NEVER include them, (so they think, although the very pols they support will have them as the first to go )

So you really think a republican government is going to improve your economic life, eh? v LOL!!!! Let's wait a year, maybe less, and then revisit this question to see what you think then. Given Trump's expressed interests and his actions and the congress he has and will cooperate with, I expect you will regret voting for him. But let's wait and see.

What's "free" about Medicare? I paid into it for 43 years. Meanwhile the right has stopped all efforts to solve any problems there may be with it, and have not suggested any of their own that would improve Medicare.

Snide, self-righteous comments about "free stuff" only reflects intolerance and spin motivated by a lack of any real argument.

Translation: Don't threaten people's free stuff. There is a reason it is heading for the cliff and it isn't because republicans haven't found that free money tree.

I guess I don't know what Medicare is in America.

I thought it was nationalised public health. No one would want to get rid of it if that's what it actually was :p

Nationalised public health care is one of the greatest achievements of civilisation ... along with public education.

It's not free. I worked 50 years to earn it and UNBEGRUDGINGLY paid a LOT of taxes. Those who complain and denigrate Medicare and Social Security recipients SHOULD be ashamed of themselves.

Little do you know that is a tax and spend scheme so it has nothing to do with you paying in other than paying somebody else's.

Why do you believe he doesn't know that? -because it makes you feel superior?? Try asking question and assuming less. I think everyone know what you said is true.

Now, can you find any legitimate issue with it?

Repeating one of my previous posts:

Since I started working over 50 years ago I have had continuous medical coverage, but never as good as I have had with Medicare. Although I pay $220 per month for Medicare Part B, a Part D prescription drug plan, and a Medicare supplement plan, I have no out-of-pocket expenses, no copays, and no deductibles; providers don't even send me copies of the bills. I can see doctors I want to see, and don't need referrals to specialists. My supplement covers a free health club membership at the studio of my choice and a yearly allowance for eyeglasses and hearing aids, and premiums have not increased in the 3 years I have had it.

If there are indeed doctors who will not accept Medicare, I don't want to see them any more than they want to see me.

Now you know of at least 2 persons that like it.

Because he feels he is entitled to it even though by law he isn't. The law could be changed at any time taking away because it is simply a tax and spend issue. If they run out of enough people paying into it to pay him it can also go away and there's nothing he can do about it. Democrats don't want to do anything about the issues facing Medicare which are worse than the issues facing Social Security. You've heard them on the hill saying they would do nothing.

Waaaaaaaait wait wait, hold it. You said he isn't entitled to it yet a change in law could take it from him? That's a contradiction. What do you know about it?

So you say. But if so, why aren't you calling for action to keep it solvent?

I heard them calling for eliminating the income cap on FICA.

Do you favor abolishing Social Security and veteran's benefits, also? . . . . Seems like you want to reap the advantages of the infrastructure and socialization built up by others while giving back nothing in return. . . And you have the nerve to criticize OTHERS about what you allege to be "free stuff"?

I was right: You have no shame.

Relevancy matters. Sidestepping issues by redefining them won't win points in a debate nor support credibility. I'm not giving in to your evasive ploy.
