Germany is a extreme high income counzry with extreme high wages and ridicolous much holidays and worker laws, yet we have almost zero unemployment and a constant boom. What do we right?

I don't know, as I have never researched it. Perhaps because your nation does not hate unions? Perhaps because you did not send your manufacturing base to china and other slave labor areas? Perhaps because at least economically, you value your own citizens? Although not so sure you value your german culture given the breeding rate of muslims over germans.

    So?

And again, EU is a single market, if you dont understand that concept I suggest you read what this means. Its pointless singling out 1 country in the EU if we are talking about trade to and from the EU.

Thats simply not true first of all its not german economic policy, the EU still is a mix of EU policy and individual countrys their policy.

Please explain why it's ok why they can put tariffs on our products but it's horrible for us to put tariffs on them? In what la la land can anyone argue its good for one side yet its immoral if the other does it. This whole thing is f'ing stupid, renegotiate and lower the worlds Tariffs on our goods and we'll lower ours.

Trump can target BMWs I guess, but the response will come from the entire EU. No Fords anywhere in Europe.

I literally have no idea where you get your stats. I asked that you "post" them, not recite them. I'm finished OK? What you don't understand is that I see right through you. Right now, today, congress is preparing a $1.5 trillion domestic investment pkg. Trumps tariffs weren't ill conceived, or ill timed, both were calculated. Just because Merkels willing to scuttle the EU's ship of fools, doesn't mean Merkels prepared to drown with the crew aboard it.

The reason china barely exports any steel to the US (even if its the biggest producer of steel) is because the US has shielded its market from cheap chinese steel.
It did that by restrictions and tariffs.

YOu seem to live in some fantasy land where the US hasnt been looking out for its own intrests. The US, always has always will be . The problem you have is that US policy for a very long time has been set by cooporations, coorporations that just want profit . Take the tax cuts, the very vast mayority of these went to coorporations and its owners (aka the rich) the rest got peauts (but will be paying for them) .

The US has plenty of tariffs and restrictions in place, can it add more? Sure but if you want to reduce the trade imbalance, this was a very stupid way to start.

Basic import/export and GDP stats you can find anywhere.

I still dont have a clue why total EU exports to the world are important. Yes the EU exports a lot, the world likes EU products. so what?

They dont tackle the problem they are set out to fix, so yes that does mean ill conceived .

Fact is the trade balance increased under trumps first year and this measure isnt going to change that.

This just shows you havent gotten a clue.

Not about the effects of international trade or what was proposed now nor the internal workings of the EU.

Does no one see that American consumers are the worlds most insatiable spenders? Import tax, excise tax, luxury tax ... meaningless. Shortages only promote entrepreneurs to fill the voids. The US economy is poised to enter it's "break out" stage. Market / employer/ retailer / consumers confidence is high. Trump says 5% growth, I think it'll go higher.

If canada is importing from china and exporting to the US there is something going on

But we export to them too and besides it looks like canada may be excluded even if they are pulling a fast one somewhere

They are not . Canada has its own steel production it exports.

Us has a trade surplus with canada in steel.

No muslims in germany, or almost none? What are the numbers?

Blacks are 13 percent of our population. Hispanics, of course more. And I have no problem with either group as long as they are citizens. And their birth rates will at some point put them in the majority. No problem with that, as long as they are americans. But germany with its birth rates compared to muslim birthrates, as well as much of europe is in deep shi*t given muslims are muslim first and foremost. There is more than one way to conquer europe, by muslims, than war. They cannot win a war, but they can take you over by breeding.

I was looking up Germany's vote on imposing a No Fly Zone on Libya, Germany did not vote against attacking Libya, Germany abstained.

You'd think this was the first Tariff leveled since the Great Depression. The last four Presidents have slapped Tariffs on Steel.
We have 12,000 tariffs in place, many higher than these.

Europe has a duty on US cars that is 4 times the duty we have on European cars! THAT YOU WERE FINE WITH!

He's already walking them back. By the time he is done there will be a tariff only on Ugandan steel and no one will trust him on any trade deal.
I told you what happened when we put the tariffs on brooms. We put the witches out of business.
And the one on live foxes. My hound dogs haven't been the same since.
    Nothing but special interests.
And yes I am fine with car tariffs. Much finer than starting a trade war with Europe.

Our steel production must be a little screwed up if Russia, Russia of all places, can ship it half way around the world and still make money on it.
    http://www.nj.com/gloucester-county...o_know_about_the_russian_steel_thats_com.html
Well take those timecards out of the clock.
    Edit:
    Add numbers:
If Trump’s steel tariffs are imposed without exemptions, Miller says Russia-based Novolipetsk Steel will shelve plans to invest $600 million to add capacity at factories in Pennsylvania and Indiana and lay off hundreds of American steel workers. Within three to four months the company would have to cut 50 percent of the 1,200 steel workers it employs today because it would run out of raw materials, he said, adding that if customers refuse to accept higher prices, the company’s U.S.“business case could disappear.”

“Personally, I think my 1,200 U.S. steel jobs are just as important as anyone else’s 1,200 steel jobs,” Miller said.
    Edit 2:
I guess Trump didn't know about this one when he was bragging up the 100 million investment and 300 jobs.
