Representatives of the European Parliament called of Pyotr Poroshenko and members of the Cabinet of Ukraine and Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada to join the Gay Parade in Kiev and to be in the first ranges. The letter where it is recommended to Ukrainian authorities to join the campaign of gays was signed by 35 Deputies. It was also asked to increase security measures for the event. Moreover, it was pointed out that Kiev authorities do not enough to stand up for rights of sex minorities. Text of the letter: One of the founding principles of the European Union is to ensure equal rights for everyone, regardless of their gender, nationality, skin colour or sexuality. As Ukrainians are progressing on the path towards European integration, we salute the progress made for greater LGBTI equality. Two years of violence-free Kyiv Pride events has demonstrated the country’s commitment to the right of peaceful assembly, which so many sacrificed their lives for during the Maidan Revolution. We urge the Ukrainian authorities to preserve peace this year on June 17th and provide security backing for the upcoming Kyiv Pride. We also urge Ukrainian authorities, Members of the Parliament, Cabinet of Ministers and the President to strengthen the country’s commitment to a European future and take up the unfinished job of providing equal access to basic rights for LGBTI Ukrainians. We regret to see that the legislative progress is stalled: while NGOs recorded multiple instances of hate speech and hate crime in 2017 in Ukraine, Ukraine remains one of the last places in Europe where no laws protect LGBTI minorities from either of the two. Civil society’s recommendations to the Health Ministry for improving legal recognition and healthcare access for trans Ukrainians haven’t been adopted. This is so funny - but it serves him right after sending so many Ukrainians to their death to please Washington. I read that Poroshenko was afraid to appear at the national parade so he wouldn't be attacked, and yet they are calling on him to head a gay parade where the participants scatter for their lives after 10 minutes. Unbelievable! Well Poroshenko can always hire a double, but who would take that risk? I bet the letter will never be mentioned in the MSM, and that Poroshenko won't be at the parade. Nope! It's Putin refusal to bow to the liberal one world order and its eschewed values, which made Putin unacceptable in the eyes of Merkel. Don't get me wrong, I believe people should be free to do whatever they want, as long as it doesn't trespass on the sensibilities and rights of others. The gay parade definitely does. This is why Putin is giving free land to all ethnic Russians and Slavs who want to retain their beliefs and heritage. No, but you should evaluate your Marxist-ness in relation to how closely your claims adhere to his own. The fact that your not a Marxist isn't surprising to me, it's the distance of your removal from his ideas that surprises me. I'm talking about the brute possibility of a science of history, which is the root of the Marxist intellectual framework. The Marxist position must begin with the idea that history has a singular direction and one possible outcome. I'm sympathetic to the idea of man as a product of history, even if I don't claim to have as deep an understanding of the matter as Marx claimed to have.
