Commentator Steve Hilton is a powerful anti-elitist, anti-globalist spokes person. Here is one of his "swamp watch" episodes on the EU. The upshot is that the EU operates without oversight. In the absence of oversight, they are corrupt and cheat the Europeans millions of euros every year. It is no surprise that they do the same with trade deals with the US. The entire globalist movement seeks to dissolve or ignore any entity that would provide oversight so that they have a free hand to suck up wealth and power at the expense of the people.
When one compares the goal of the EU with the goal of Hillary and her Democrats, there is a stark similarity. Like the EU, Hillary, Pelosi, Schumer and others of their ilk constantly attempt to circumvent the oversights built into our constitution. Rather than build a platform which citizens can immediately see will benefit them, they build emotions with smoke and mirrors. They attempt to find a way around the right way, and engage in weaponizing the FBI, the DOJ and the Supreme Court. Because without oversight, they can pretty much run amok.
The right is essentially correct in their critiques of "globalism", although I feel this term is merely a mischaracterization of neoliberalism. The problem is that the right wants to merely return to the very conditions that created neoliberalism.
Even the French are getting sick of the EU. "Emmanuel Macron has sent shockwaves throughout Europe after he conceded that French voters would quit the EU if France held an in/out referendum on the Brussels-led bloc. No other European Union country has risked putting membership of the bloc to a public vote since Britain surprised member-states by voting to leave the bloc in 2016" THE EXPRESS, EU BOMBSHELL: Macron admits France would vote to LEAVE EU if country held referendum, By OLI SMITH, PUBLISHED: 10:15, Sun, Jan 21, 2018. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/9...e-to-LEAVE-EU-referendum-Brexit-Brussels-Marr
I am not too much into "correct terminology". Some call it post-modernism. The premise is the same. Distrust, dissolve, reject reason and embrace ideology. Most importantly, seclude and protect power. What do you believe are the conditions creating this? I think it is lack of functional education, 10 years of a stinking economy, and a combination of social factors that include nanny-laws, lack of stable family units, and here's one- rejecting the wisdom of our elders. Without our elders, we lose perspective. We have a generation of Boomers who reject their responsibilities as elders in favor of riding Harley's and recapturing their youth. I cannot connect those conditions with constitutionalism.
Eastern block countries have been successful so far in holding up under the pressure to join the EU. Little did people know that part of joining the EU would affect their choices for food sources, and many other day-to-day decisions that people want to be free to make on their own.
EUtopia is showing serious cracks and starting to crumble in less than a generation. should alert the GlobalistMarxistHumanistProgressiveSJW set (the self-appointed smartest people in any room, mind you) to some rather serious flaws in their ideology. but it won't.
Yup. A government cannot be stable scross several diverse cultures. Greece and Germany have vastly different views on nearly every subject. They have different priorities. Of course it's not working well.
It's not Globalism. It's Fascism. They'd love to take over the whole world. That is their goal. But they have zero chance of success. In the end, people will kill them.
Government is a great racket for everyone with a hand in distributing its tax revenue and favors. The bigger the government the more lucrative the racket. It's like cancer.
That's precisely right. Even here in North America, people in western Canada have more in common with western USA, than eastern Canada. The EU was never properly set up in the first place, as far as the economy. It was more of a defense mechanism against imports, favoring internal trade. Steve
Ditto here. Texas and Oklahoma are very different than New York and New England. You would think the differences would be decreasing as the world seems to be getting smaller, but red America and blue America actually seem to growing apart. Red America prefers traditional American culture and wants a small role for government. Blue America hates traditional American culture and wants a strong, nanny state government.
