Evidence for the Creator: Stupidity.

Can evolution explain why some some theists carry out enormous acts of stupidity in the name of their god? Surely only a Intelligent Designer could create a creature so stupid that he will believe he can be bitten by deadly snakes, crucified or fly planes into buildings because the designer wants him to?

 

Religion could well be an evolutionary trait, with the smart ones selling this garbage to the dimwits in order to keep them in line, while boosting their own power, prestige and wealth. It certainly works, crowd control, and hence increases the likelihood of the tribe surviving.

 

Nice to have those Darwin Awards so that some of these theist MORONS get the recognition they so richly deserve...

 

Why has no theist come to actually attempt to correct wrongs relating to Theos? Such as the word Theos itself being applicable in/to masculine and feminine nouns; such as theos Diana, theos Zeus, theos Theos, etc...

That first documentary about the snake handling preacher is quite good. It's in two parts. Dumbass preacher gets bitten, almost dies, then blames the camera crew because their presence in his church obviously was displeasing god....this stuff is priceless!!!

Your imaginary "creator" is 100% RESPONSIBLE for all of the stupidity of mankind and it takes a special kind of "madness and folly" to blame mortals for what their imaginary "creator" did to them by stupidly making mankind in his own image.

The reason for the madness and folly of man is plainly evident:

Estrangement from the Creator.

You can blame Him, for your own hostility and confusion, but that only leads down the rabbit hole of increasing hostility and estrangement, with overt madness and hysteria as the final outcome.

ONLY if there is a reconciliation.. a resolution of the estrangement from the Creator, can the blindness and hostility be lifted. Until then, one is trapped in a mindset of antagonism and outrage, toward the only One who can fix it.

It is a tragic commentary on the madness and folly of Man.

You appear confused, the acts above were all carried out by people who would very much claim not to be estranged from their god, indeed people very much in touch with him.

 

As I recall they were directly told by their god to carry out those acts of stupidity in his name.

 

Exactly, each carries out the acts because their god told them to, it was not unbelievers who played with snakes, believes god requires them to be crucified each year or killing thousands is good. Their god obviously wants such acts from his devotee's.
