And now the news yesterday stated that fakebook dosent use factcheckers, rather they’re opinion checkers. What could go wrong?
Yeah, it can be both really positive and really negative. It's good how it facilitates communication and sharing among friends, family and others, but then this same capability is too often perverted by malicious actors and too often has negative effects on a large number of users. And apparently it and other social media can be really bad for children if they get hooked on the popularity aspects of it, if they get bullied on it, etc.
Something for us all to remember, while it is true that Facebook is "evil", the groups and investors who are trying to pressure Facebook right now are even more "evil". Some of you might want to instinctively sit back and not care, as the two sides battle each other, but that would be a mistake. Sometimes you should temporarily side with the lesser of two evils, lest the worse of the two emerge in victory.
