    Oh, I agree.

    Sasse wouldn't have a prayer.

In fact, after Trump's Certain LOSS (next month), the GOP would be lucky to ever manage to elect another POTUS.

You’re wrong. Obviously you don’t understand the complete issue. I’ll continue the discussion when you become informed and can actually discuss the topic.

Not really. I thought we were talking about distancing oneself prior to a campaign, but Lindsey Graham and many others have boarded the Trump ship since 2016. It's not "the same" by any stretch.

Trump is unfit. Many people see that. That's what this is about. Any consequential political advantage is irrelevant.

Trump isn't an enemy of the establishment. He just never fit in. He resents this, I'm told.

Seriously though, we could care less about you trotting out a Republican who doesn't support Trump. It doesn't matter. You guys haven't yet figured out that we're supporting whatever is less like you all. You are why Trump exists, and you just keep doubling down.

While you're at it, how about you tell me why an 8 year old child should be able to transition, why we shouldn't bother protecting the border or constitution, why being white is bad, why it's ok to gather in large groups in one case during a pandemic if the cause is right... but not the other, why big tech censorship is good, why America is terrible, why nationalism is wrong, why we're deplorable, etc ad infinitum... please, do go on, I wholeheartedly encourage it.

No. Now-conservatism is still alive. People on the right are now more aware of the failures of that philosophy.

You’re 180 out. That’s ok though. Keep tracking my comments and I’ll teach you something.

When Ben Sasse calls for invading a nation and spreading democracy, give me a call. When anyone does, let me know.

    Bolton is gone.

It's on life support. There will always be hawks and democracy spreaders. That they hold no power is what matters.

Booming economy, the destruction of ISIS, lowest unemployment on record, energy independence, international treaties renegotiated in this country's favor, peace in the Middle East, skyrocketing stock market, skyrocketing middle class salaries, booming manufacturing industry....

Trump has done more for the country in 3.5 years than the entire swamp and its patriarch Biden did during the last 50.

If this is "unfitness", this country needs not just 4 but 20 more years of such unfitness.

    You're entitled to your opinion.

People much smarter than you and me, who actually know Donald Trump, say he's unfit. I agree with them.

Well this opinion on the term neocon might be the only thing we ever agree on.

Regarding Sasse...he is simply a man of poor character....not paying heed to those he represents.

I don't know enough about him to impugn his character. I agree with his comments about Trump, however.

    1. The results of Trump's 3.5 years of presidency are not opinions, they are undeniable facts.... the death of isis, energy independence, lowest unemployment on record, skyrocketing salaries and stock market, the middle east peace, rewritten and improved treaties - all undeniable facts, buddy

    2. I am sorry to hear that you don't consider yourself to be smart enough to reach your own conclusions and admit to needing "People much smarter than you" to know what to think. Please don't put me in the same boat though, I do have my own independent brain and do my own analysis.... which invariably shows that Trump has done more for this country in 3 years than all these "smart" swamp creatures, elites, ruling classes and their subservient talking heads did in the last 50.

Lol. Like I said, you're entitled to your opinion. You go ahead and think Trump did all those things, all by himself. I'll stay on the ground.

And yes, John Bolton is much smarter than you. So are Kelly and Mattis. I'll defer to them, thank you.

It's Trump's presidency, it's his tax cuts, his 1000s of deregulations, his renegotiated treaties like NAFTA, his support of the american business and energy independence etc that led the country to unprecedented prosperity, unprecedented job growth, skyrocketing salaries and stock market.

Your admission that you are unable to reach your own conclusions and need "smarter people" to tell you what to think saddens me, unfortunately it does not surprise me at all.

Exactly this. But the Plutocracy has numerous advantages, The Hollywood factor(which only failed with regards to the ACA, because no matter how many stars said to do it, the average 18-26 year old knew damn well that it would be stupid if for example going for a medical degree in college, while also paying their first time mortgages and to get health care insurance.). as well as the national perceptive advantage.

But Jackson is mistaken, Populism and the heart of it still rests with the people. That's because once these Plutocrats come back into power and once they inevitably screw up again, Populism will not only rise but it will learn from the mistakes of Donald Trump and be more patient in crowning a party leader. It may even separate totally from the GOP, which will leave it ultimately dysfunctional.

(In fact, we could see a return to pre-2000's level of voter participation, where you barely got 50% at best.)

Bolton is irrelevant. Sasse advocates American intervention in Hong Kong and other regions. He is a believer in “nation building”. I suggest that you learn a little bit about his ideas.

I’m guessing that criticizing Trump is all you need to know about him.

Borat just gave you some facts. If you can’t refute them in a substantive manner, why respond at all?

I live in Nevada. Why would I know much about Sasse? Trump is president. Everyone knows about him.

I'll take your word for it on Sasse. That doesn't mean the ideology has any legs. And to be honest, I agree with some things in neoconservatism, so I don't necessarily see that as an insult.

I live in Washington state. I know about him, but I try to keep myself informed. Even when I’m sitting here in an RV park in Laughlin, Nevada.
