Yeah, execute people on a timetable. That way you can rest assured that they're guilty because they'll be executed too quickly to appeal their sentences.
nope the time table is 3 years max, if there any evidence counter to that at that time automatic life sentence, this way it speeds up the prosecution and state level. the supreme court also has to act on a appeal in 10 days max, no year wait like they do now.

There are a lot of innocent people in prison. It's only logical that some innocent ones will be executed.
This country needs to start addressing the causes of crimes. However, that's a more difficult problem to tackle..

It is a weird kind of 'justice' that has a judge and jury decide whether a defendant will live or die, and it is based partly on 'justice thru revenge'...otherwise there would be 'justice with compassion' which would be a life sentence with psychological testing in an effort to rehabilitate a defendant instead of killing him. No one has ever seen a newborn baby who is an axe-murderer, con-artist, pedophile, or a 'regular' prison habitue. Look to society, the NRA, a broken Justice system, and a Wild Wild West attitude toward the reasons people do the things they do. The over-crowding of our prisons tell us how society is dealing with the dilemma of a run-a-way problem that has been dealt with by use of revenge, race, and retribution instead of a deep understanding and compassion of all God's children.

Excellent gun control would dictate that anyone the killed someone with a gun in the commission of a crime gets an automatic death penality. No liberal judge or whining defense att could prevent the killer from being offed. Society is to complex to keep these animals around.
