I keep hearing the right wing whine about how christians are oppressed here in the US. Well, if thats true then you should have no problem posting detailed evidence citing specific and open acceptance of "christian oppression". So christians heres your chance to prove that you are "oppressed". Remember, Only detailed references will be accepted as evidence. And nothing open to interpretation is acceptable.
Their oppressed cause they can"t put a cross on the Capital building and there is a fake war on Christmas.
Maybe its because we no longer allow the church to rule our day to day life? Maybe its cos we have shunned their fairytales in droves and now see the harm that religion has caused mankind.
I dont feel really that Christians are oppressed. As a Christian I feel that those who claim this are the extremists out there like Pat Robinson, the Moral Majority (which is an oxymoron), etc As a Christian we were (at least I was) taught not to judge, as that is left to God. To suppress our rights is so the rights of others are not denied. Just because our rights may have to be curtailed doesnt mean we are an oppressed people. Christians need to stop getting in the business of defining marriage, denouncing the gay lifestyle, stop preaching that all Muslims are horrible people. The voice you are hearing about the oppression comes from those who judge others, and forget what it is to be a Christian in the true sense of the word. Yes I am a Christian, and sometimes I feel as though I should not have to bite my tongue, but to be a Christian I should use it as an opportunity to show those I love, and those around me what it means to be a Christian. I will not judge, I will try and life the life Jesus wants us all to live, I will be understanding, and try and help my fellow man. I sure in the heck dont want others to judge me and therefore I feel the issue has been a self-fulfilling prophesy if the extreme feel they are being oppressed.
Not being a christian doesn't make me hate christians and I wonder why the liberal horde hates christians but bows before allah as if they respect and admire islam. The liberal horde supports free speech for children if they are wearing a t-shirt with the image of a Cuban murder but not if they are wearing a cross or a t-shirt with an image of a guy that looks anything like what liberals think Jesus looked like. Liberals/progressives have twisted the 1st Amendment from meaning that the government can't interfere with your religion to meaning that no one can express their faith in Jesus in or near a public building (expect for the Capital Building and the Supreme Court). The muslim pigs can pray in school but not the christians. I'm all for removing all religious teaching from our public prisons. The whole agenda of the liberal horde to hate christians has never made sense to me. I lived in close quarters with three Jesus Freaks the last time I was in Thailand and they made no effort to hide that they thought that Ben and I were drunken whore mongers. I kind of liked them in a weird way. I felt more sorry for them than anything else but I also respected their resolve to be moral men in the land of sex. One thousand girls were just a short ride from the main gate. A bad trait that they had and maybe it's a christian thing, was to criticize others that were doing the same things that Ben and I were doing. I was in charge of our living quarters and Ben was 6'5" so maybe they were a little worried about preaching to us, directly. The bottom line is that they didn't bother me at all. I did what I wanted to do and ignored their christian in my face life style. When you know who you are and you know God the Creator none of these manmade religions bother you.
A christian can pray in schools just like muslims or jews. That is another blatantly false claim. This is nothing but manufactured outrage.
