Yes it is, while they do have an agenda, at least they are up front with it. When you watch a political news show on MSNBC you know it will be accurate, timely, concise and you also know it will be a slight tilt to the left.
With fox you are going to get lies, distortion, phoney trumped up 'news', phoney video, and then they will tell you....and expect you to believe....they are "fair and balanced".
You just have to laugh at that.

Explain to us how 'ratings' mean they are accurate and not biased?

You do know HOW they get the ratings don't you?

I'll admit they are upfront with their leanings, but as a frequent viewer of MSNBC, they have all of the lies, distortion, and phoney trumped up 'news' they can squeeze in.

That's why I enjoy the network; it's a laugh riot!

I rarely watch Fox, except for the occasional opinion show, so I'm not the right person to ask on that.

Mind pointing out which of these people are against Ron Paul & Mitt Romney and which are pulling for Santorum?

I swear, it's usually *******s who make such ridiculous sweeping accusations... MnBillyBoy, are you a closet liberal/Ron Paul supporter? Or secretly pulling for Barack to win another term?

    Very strange.

Are you bucking for your own show on MSNBC? You already passed the first test by showing your level of civility towards those with a different POV

The hosts do make up facts as they go along

For example did you know the unemployment rate is lower now then the day Obama took office?

I guess that is right, if, by "fellow libs" you mean he wants to hire "fair-minded, smart people who understand the world and can interpret it." I guess that means that you admit that not many conservatives fit that description. I would have to agree with you there. thanks.

Hey ..you forgot Susan..the Secretary at the front door and JOE Juan Williams Dog ( not really ..just using this as an example of poor debate ) The main idea is the lack of balance on Major FOX reporting..not minor players behind the scenes..

I would have you look here http://www.whoownsthenews.com/

It's no surprise that corporate robber baron Rupert Murdoch is a major Bush supporter but who else owns Fox News? Prince al-Walid bin Talal owns 5.5% of Fox News.

Prince al- Walid bin Talal stated recently that he used his influence to change Fox's headlines. During the recent riots in Muslim neighborhoods in France Fox was using the term "Muslim Riots" to describe rioting by Muslim youths and Prince bin Talal claims that called Fox News had them change the title of the story to "Youth Riots". Source. worldnetdaily.com

In another instance, where supposedly conservative Fox News should have been up in arms, was the deal by a United Arab Emirates holding company to buy U.S. ports. Suddenly Fox went from being against the deal to very supportive of a deal that would have put US container ports in foreign hands. A U.A.E. sovereign wealth fund also owns major shares of Fox.

The "good ole boys" that hang on every word that Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly utters might not be so happy when they hear who is whispering in their idol's ears.

End..But much more and a easy read..

INFLUENCE THE NEWS ?..as not reporting everything on every story..

NEWSWEEK reports Romney has gained 10 pts on Santorum in just 3 days in Michigan.

FOX wont report that until every other network has..and they must.
Santorum is GOING DOWN IN FLAMES...and the so called REPUBLICANS who ONLY call themselves social conservatives will attack any thing that moves when defending their religious leader of the moment.

Mine is my church..I elect my president..and I wont worship him.

MnBillyBoy - In an open society, no one should feel threatened by an informed citizenry.

Nobody gets all their news from one source anymore. Besides, your accusations against Fox News are true for EVERY MEDIA OUTLET. They're all influenced by their owners, especially mainstream liberal and govt-run news outlets. Why single out Fox News?

Just having a hard time understanding your complaint. Maybe you could restate it?

Um, you do understand Fox News is responsible for reporting current events, not endorsing political candidates. Of course they'll adjust if Romney tops the charts... just like they'd adjust if Ron Paul suddenly leapt to the top of the polls. Whoever's getting the most attention in the real world gets the most attention in news reports. Duh.

Sounds like you just don't like the news, so you're blaming the messenger.

Who are you pulling for in the 2012 presidential race, if you don't mind me asking. ;)

Fox News? Reporting current events? Since when?

They do a lot of spinning ad turning and misleading. . . But reporting?

I guess their "fair and balanced" lie works for some?

My only problem with people that hate FOX is that they usually have no problem with MSNBC. IMO MSNBC is far more propaganda tv than FOX. MSNBC has little to no input from the right while FOX, while it proudly offers a view from the right, will give ample airtime to numerous Democratic and liberal commentators on a regular basis.

I keep hearing these charges, and they are usually from the kinds of people that do not want to talk about the lack of balance at NBC, CBS, or the NYT to name a few. I hear about minor mistakes or cases of bias on FOX from people that do not want to talk about things like the Dan Rather CBS/60 Minutes story on Bush that came out 2 months before the 2004 election and was later discredited and CBS apologized and fired people over. Or the free advertising that the NYT gives to Moveon.org or even the recent charges against Media matters and their links to the Obama White House.

I am fine with that Charge because as a conservative I already Know that liberals control the media for President Obama..
I am talking about FOX controlling or shaping the debate going forward for the EX employees benefit and for the benefit of those who overwhelmingly support their station..The far Right and social conservatives..
They support FOX because they also know the left media bias and many I no doubt see what I am talking about.

Santorum has lost 10 % support in Michigan in the last 3 days and they still claim he is surging ?

Not if you truly reported what the polls are saying..At least give some one a fair shot..

Romney has no PRO Romney station..Only moments of Ann or Donald or Bolton..and they only get snippets..while the ticker under them runs pro Santorum stuff at the same time..You've seen it..You watch Fox..if you are a conservative. Watch with a open mind and see the steerage.

I'm a Romney supporter and I think the FOX reporting has been ok on the primary season. I do think Hannity is not the biggest Romney fan and perhaps FOX regulars like Newt and Sarah and others get a little too much airtime.

It is clear that Fox News have many more libs on to express their opinion then the number of conservatives that are on MSMNB and CNN combined

That is why Fox News buries them in the ratings. Fox does offer both sides and allows the viewer to form his/her opinion

You do know Newt Gingrich was a Fox contributor right ?
    Meaning he got paid.

So Sarah is on and does she Champion NEWT or Santorum..?
Or just parrot that conservatives like herself cannot Buy into Romney's style of conservatism..??
She wants a FURTHER DEBATE ?
why..?? GO FIGURE..she wants to be a player and FOX profits from that extension of political debate.

Did she mention Romney's Olympic games without corruption ?
Nope. She argues against Romney care like the idiot she is..she knows nothing other than what she is told to repeat.
Romney's mandate is NO DIFFERENT THAN DANIEL'S IN INDIANA..
You are FORCED TO BUY..either in fines..taxes or penalties.
BOTH STATES do not RUN health care..PRIVATE COMPANIES provide and maintain it.

After 4 years of controlled public exposure she has gotten better...That does not make her an expert on anything.
My wife and I have lively debates on this every night shes on..
Does the guy reading the news mean he is Superior in Leading the nation ? or just a better newscaster ?
That is all Sarah Palin is..NOTHING MORE.

    I like Ann better..:)

Here are some of the libs that appear almost daily to give the left's view on the issues

    Alan Colmes
    Bob Beckel
    Pat Caddell
    David Corn
    Lanny Davis
    Susan Estrich
    Ellis Henican
    Mort Kondracke
    Mara Liasson
    Judith Miller
    Kirsten Powers
    Doug Schoen
    Juan Williams

Now I am sure you wil spin how these are not "real Dems" or that they do not have their own show - they do not count

Again, Fox News has more liberal opinions then CNN and MSNBC have conservative opinions on - combined

Last night on Fox was a Fine example..Sean Hannity's piece with Sarah Palin was telling..

If anybody was watching...and you know you were you saw..

    1. Palin back away from saying she would vote for Newt in Michigan .
Which is a complete reversal of what she said in SC. Now she likes what who says ? YEP ..SANTORUM..the FOX fix is in and this is more evidence..

Add to the fact That O Reilly cancelled a piece on Santorum that was said to be critical ...In Bill's own words.

    2. Palin then said she would be FINE with a brokered convention..like she is some sort of political guru that knows and sees all. She has FLIPPED on support in less than a month..she never leaves Alaska to help support any candidate and wants to be a player ? Why not have TEBOW on and let him talk..? Sarah got crushed in her one and only brief national campaign ..and now she is an expert ?

    3. Then she rips Romney for not telling us his energy plan..etc..what a LOON..Romney was 10 pts ahead on Obama plan when 8 others wanted to be the anti Romney. Think he had to change direction because he wanted to ? Day after day misrepresentation every thing Romney..from his wealth,...to his taxes..to his Bain leadership..to the Olympics, back to his religion..his dog..his underwear..his abortion switch ..( for the 400 th time )
Back to his attacks as NEGATIVE ?

The others so called REPUBLICANS were more LEFT than OBAMA was attacking the 3 legs of Reaganism..and the press piled on..
FOX the CONSERVATIVE channel piled on too...

After Palin made a big deal about attacking Obama on gas prices..who was next on GREATA ? yep Newt on Gas prices...gee instead of attacking Romney on his taxes in SC ..THINK those gas price debates might have been better used then for America ? Maybe Obama would have been pressured to let the pipe line through..but no The debate turned away from economics to social issues.. and now those 2 scum who went after Romney on garbage want a truce ?
BS..Blacken the EARTH and let others know this garbage is not acceptable.
Maybe Santorum can now lie about his votes..but Romney wont let him..neither would Obama.Newt is and was scum..God will forgive him in SC . the country wont ...

Romney was attacked first and hardest ..and when he fought back..everyone screams foul ?

Good luck against Obama with that Tactic.

I simply asked who had their own show. That was my question to you. do you have an answer to that or not?

If you don't want to - or cannot - answer the question that is asked of you, don't just make up an answer to a question that has not been asked and act as if you aren't aware of your chicanery.
