The trouble with hillary is that she cheated too much in california and did not cheat enough in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania

My objection to Kavenaugh is specifically that he is yet another voice promoting a generational decision in favor of a president being above the law- expansive executive privilege that further undermines separation of power as well. Whether one is pro or anti trump, his won't always be the voice in power. Unless trump successfully installs a dynastic succession the shoe will inevitably wind up on the other foot. This degree of 'judicial activism' is against republican and democrat beliefs alike. Any ends will hardly justify these means- guaranteed.

"...to oppose economic globalism that is destroying working americans and the middle class, as it creates the worst disparity in income seen since the gilded age. "

I agree with much of your post but would suggest that 'globalism' is not the culprit per se; Our own affluence- and resultant cost of living index- has simply placed us out of realistic competition in the labor marketplace internationally- and the 'free market' is making the predictible adjustments- to our dismay.
Coupled with a current aversion to education, re-education and a long-game response, our current Wealthcare System is showing a false pollyanna picture of a decades long decline that was just beginning to be addressed in the most recent administration. Until we reverse the deliberate redistribution of wealth- upwards- that the current administration has sold to America, the fundamental fuel and machinery of our domestic economy, our economic growth will continue sluggishly.
Radical regulation of the inevitable globalist economy will not produce a long term viability- particularly when coupled with major national deregulation. It's a neo-Gilded Age, self-serving, short-game, plundering that is going on- make no mistake.

Canada can also be classified as a democratic socialist country. Hell even our conservatives are 'progressive'.

I skimmed... patience wearing thin this morning I guess... there will be no infighting or restructuring. Just more pants-shytting, screaming and fart-whistle blowing. We're long past the progressives learning from their mistakes and coming up with a new strategy. We should really start having a national discussion about our mental health care system. These folks are going to need real help and soon.

Oh there will be infighting.....some don't want Pelosi as a leader anymore. Then the Establishment Demos will undercut the Socialists.

We can expect the Lame Stream to downplay their infighting.

Irrelevent since the GOP isn't nearly the same part of conviction that it was before Trump. And anyone who can worship Trump can't possibly believe they are special, unless of course highten suseptability to demagoguery makes one special.

It is relevant since some think the Scandinavians are a success as Socialist Countries.

Then there was Hillary making them Special.....the Deplorables, Remember.

Try to learn the difference between Democratic Socialist and Socialist before making silly statements. And yes they do have a higher degree of person happiness, longer lives, and higher per capita income. Other thsn that they are abject failures.

Saying no doesn't make it so. Bad attempt when you are unable to back up what you are saying.

The Nordic countries themselves have explained, time and again, that they are not socialist countries.

There are hundreds of videos explaining what they actually are on Youtube. Go learn about it.

That is why you have to educate yourself and learn that there is a difference between Socialist and Democratic Socialist. And a Youtube education is open to question to say the very least.

One of my questions for the coming election revolves around voter turnout. Will more people vote than usual? Are more people taking an active interest in politics in the wake of all of these scandals? Will Trump bring out more conservative voters this time around, and/or more opposition voters?

There is no such thing as Democratic Socialism.

You could use any oxymoron you want, like Democratic Communism for example, and it still doesn't help your argument.

You can put 10 coats of Cortez's favorite red lipstick on that pig all you want, it doesn't change what it is.

You never can tell. Trump just authorized 12 billion of taxpayer money to try and bribe the farmers into voting for Republicans. And Trump is talking about another tax cut to try and bribe everyone. Maybe this time it will benefit someone other than the rich and of course himself.

And of course nothing is being done to stop the Russians from meddling to support Republicans. .

What mattered in 2010 is how the independents voted. With a 7% edge over Dems in the actual vote count, Republicans gained a massive 63 seats in the House; largely because Independents sided with the Republicans.

I don't see the reverse happening in 2018, where Independents will side largely with the Dems, not with the type of lunacy we seeing coming out of that party on a nearly daily basis. So if Republicans can narrow the Democrats lead to 4 or 5 points by November, I think they may hold on to the majority; although losing roughly 20 seats or so in the process.

    Trump is losing the independents.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/nbc-wsj-poll-trump-stronger-base-weaker-middle-n893601

    What's happening?

The normal people left in the GOP are leaving.

A fraction of "independents" were actually Tea Partiers who always voted Republican, but who just called themselves "independent" because they thought it made them look edgy. That group has gone back home to the Republicans, as they see their dark master as being threatened.

Thus, Trump support rises among the remaining Republicans, but there are significantly fewer of those Republicans, while his independent support drops.
