The point is that no right, not even in the Constutution enumerated in the Bill or Rights or in the other amendments, is unlimited, not even the 2a. And not even the Founding Fathers would agree with your argument. that the 2a guarantees the right of ownership of firearms without limits or restrictions. Even the Great Supreme Court Anthony Scalia would disagree with you on this one if he were alive.

 

Psychiatrists, Psychologists, medicine they are taking, actions that are not the norm from the past, and so forth. In most cases, this is a TRO type of situation when it comes to red flag laws. If you don't show up, then you can't defend the accusations and a summary judgment is entered.

I don't think the GOP will take the Senate. Dr. Oz is fading in Pennsylvania. Walker is also fading in Georgia with his horrible campaign, Ron Johnson may lose in Wiscounsin. Marco Rubio is questionable in Florida, especially after his fiasco at bipartisanship. GOP will win Arizona with Mark Kelly and possibly New Hampshire with a moderate Republican. So, it is probably not going to look good at the senate level.

House, the GOP will win that, but not by much, maybe by 6 or 8 votes, which puts the Freedom Caucus in the driver's seat. And that is bad for the GOP in the long run IMO.

 

Legally, even as Governor, he can't, if he beats Abbott this time. Remember, even a felon can legally obtain a firearm in Texas, thanls to the NRA and the GOP.

Red flag laws, increased background checks, ban on gun stocks, which Trump did by EO, and other reasonable measures are not taking your guns in the law.

If you need to stop the self-induced paranoia you have, I know a number of qualified, certified psychologists who would just love for you and them to sit down and talk this out.
