    Thank you for that.

Since the flag was raised on CV-19, most people went into shelter mode, reducing their exposure, even if they claim they have no concerns. It's human nature when a threat is present, one withdraws.

Very obviously it serves a political purpose by deliberately panicking countless voters and their family members and causing the stock market to crash and burn while pointing the trembling finger of blame at Trump and shrieking during a presidential election cycle, "Orange Man bad! Because of Orange Man, we are all going to die . . . vote Democrat!"

Some people do understand this. It is my opinion that some people welcome the idea that this virus could collapse the current economy and all the benefits it has provided across the board. What better way to convince people that they need a leadership change then the kind and gentle hand of the government soothing them and saying it's OK, we will fix that for you.

I have a mixed bag of friends and acquaintances, all across every human spectrum you could think of. I would say it's up to about 80% who won't have anything to do with the Democrats come November. That doesn't mean they are suddenly going to vote Republican by any means, but they are actually seeing the damage the Democrats are doing to this country.

That's what I think as well; that is, people can see and hear what the Dem Party is doing to this nation through the control of their political propaganda outlets -- otherwise known as the Mainstream media. It's obvious and it's just as obvious that it is being done for politics, from panicking the general population to cratering the stock market.

There will be repercussions for this massive and across the board irresponsibility on the part of the Dem Party's leadership. People don't like it when you play games with both their lives and their sources of income and the Dem Party's leadership is TRYING to kick off an economic depression.

Nobody likes being dismissed as collateral damage in the Democrats' struggle for power. This strategy of theirs isn't just hurting Trump supporters, it's hurting Dem supporters too, and I suspect it will blow up in the faces of the Democrats.

That plus the underlying question of "who will best set the economy on the road to recovery when this is over?" and the obvious answer is Trump.

    Hey! ;)

You are correct, people do not like being dismissed, but unfortunately many have become used to being political pawns one way or another. IMO, one more reason within dozens why there should not only be term limits, it should be across the board, for every elected position. The susceptibility to corruption grows the longer someone is in office, and the aspect of helping the people in general becomes a speck of dust in the political power plays.

Why are you certain it will be? What is indicating it will be?

I'm not certain of anything. If stupid Americans do the right thing and self isolate we'll fare better. If not then we'll likely end up worse off than Italy.

We are screwed then cause that’s not happening. At least from what I’m seeing. And typically it’s the young ignoring it, the social media driven liberal voter by and large. They social shame people for a off color joke, maybe they should turn that fury towards their own who are not heeding recommendations.

But the advanced age issue is what’s driving the death rate in Italy, we won’t have the same proportional results based on that alone.

If that's the case then we are screwed. I think when millennials and gen z'ers parents, grandparents, and sick family members start dying they'll change their habits. Of course it will be too late by then.
