Hi All, I am a believer in the filibuster but I realize that it was being abused by the Republicans and Harry Reid had to do something. I've been wondering why they simply didn't go back to the filibuster the way it was meant to be used. I don't think it would have been abused if these people actually had to talk for days on end and had to sleep in the Senate for fear of missing a vote. Going back to this method, in my opinion, would have immediately stopped the abuse. Thanks in advance, Bob
