I wasn't able to watch all of the debate due to work but I did see Trump get Biden to admit that he wants to close down the oil industry. Granted Biden clarified that he wants to "phase" it out over time. I couldn't help but think "tree hugger". And "OMG Green New Deal all over". And just like I ask tree huggers what are they going to wipe their butts off if they stopped all logging I'll ask Biden, or his supporters, a similar question....if we got rid of oil companies then what are you going to use to surround your electronics...or hell, make electronics? TVs, computers, monitors, pens, phones and millions of other products use oil in their products.

Trump can make a pretty good commercial out of Biden's (I will spend $20 trillion on this program, $50 trillion on that program, $100 trillion on those programs, $25 trillion on some other problems...oh and I will lock down the country too while I spend all this money) promises :D

Sounds great but even Hunter can't probably swindle this kind of loot :D

Surprised by the rather unbias performance from the moderator that is as crazy liberal as all the others. She did very well.

Democrats in Texas were so excited thinking they were going to win Texas. Joe just said Democrats plan to kill the oil industry entirely by 2050. Texas is now in zero danger of going blue.

That likely also cost Joe the swing state, Pennsylvania.

    Yes, she did. Great job!

...and Trump learned to wait for his turn. He sounded strong. Much better debate for Trump.

I really doubt this debate changed many minds. Two old guys who can barely string together a sentence, was about all that was on display. After this election we need to start looking into alternative parties.

What that 30 year "phase out" sounds like to Texans is "We're going to bankrupt Texas in 30 years or less."

Message to Joe from Texans: "We're not going to take it."

Plastics are made from natural materials such as cellulose, coal, natural gas, salt and crude oil through a polymerisation or polycondensation process.

Look around your room right now and imagine everything that's plastic disappears by 2050. Uh huh.

Can't wait to hear how Joe tries to walk back that answer tomorrow and tell us that he didn't mean what he said today.

People have been talking about phasing out oil since Carter was in office. The voters in Texas and Penn. aren’t going to be surprised by this.

Not with the same fervor as when AOC launched her Green New Deal. They are using deadlines now, set by the United Nations. People are listening.

The U.S. President should work for America, not for the U.N.

Trump doesn't talk about it. Biden does. Who do you think they're going to vote for based on this single issue? Not saying people will vote based on it alone, but if they did on this single issue who do you think they would vote for?

Oh, yes. People did hear what Joe just said. He should have found an excuse to cancel the debate and stay hidden in his basement.

Trump just made us a completely oil independent country in the last 4 years. LOL

    the debate changes nothing ...

Biden stepped in it with the oil comment...but so what??

the oil tycoons are trumpers long before the debate..

and Bidens claim of getting rid of oil is the same as trump building a wall

    neither will happen ..

    on a lighter note

the moderator tonight just got herself a pay raise...

she asked nothing but softball questions ..

and no doubt trump had a different demeanor tonight

    and Biden stuttered as usual..

I noticed that also, it's like look, a squirrel. But that is all debates. Change the topic to the answer that one wants to put out, whether it's related to the question or not.

It's just so obvious when both are old and one can literally see the smoke changing colors as they change the answer from the question asked to the answer they want to give.

So, we won't reduce our oil consumption from the ME to Tx? It will just completely go away? No more plastic?

It isn't merely oil tycoons, the average American(rightly) doesn't see a path forward with cow farts and green energy because it's still unsustainable. Ask Germany about that, the energy costs there are rising and have been rising for. a while for them.

That's what Joe said tonight. No more oil subsidies when he wins office. No more oil industry by 2050.

No oil. No gas. No plastic. No stryofoam.

Even paper cups are lined with plastic to make them waterproof. No more Starbucks.

    Wait, no more oil?

Or no more welfare, subsidies? Afterall, Repubs hate welfare.

    Explain.
