Tell me what bargaining power a micro nation like the UK has against China, USA or say India? :)

TUI makes 47 million € profit. They make less profit. But they make profit. You know the difference between profit and loss?

Why is TUI able to work in profit while Thomas Cook goes belly up?

What bargaining power does it need? The best bargaining chip is your own money.
China pisses you off? Don't buy from China.

When trump threatened tariffs on EU, we tariffed the **** out of republican USA states until Trump buckled.

We have the bargaining power of the biggest market in the world.

A country like UK gets dictated from evry power and loses. There is no place for UK in MAGA.

On a 19B Euro income that is a poor return.

Also reports that I've read say that TUI have been reporting losses this year

    Trump shouldn't have buckled.

There is no place in America for the EU

And there is no place for america in the EU.

The EU has gargantuan market power and that helps us in business. We sue the **** out of apple, google and amazon. We force USA to kneel.

The individual european countries would be slaves of USA. Because EU we are free and can defend our interests.

    And they'd be better off!!!

LOL Germany cannot defend itself against any determined enemy non of the smaller countries can either.. Europe is not part of the Soviet Union because of America. When the Russians get uppity again they will swallow all of Europe with no effort at all.

Agree on a straight trade deal then. Or don't, whatever works for you.

The EU is a project to create a protectionist bloc in Europe that holds free trade hostage to regulatory convergence and monetary-fiscal imbalance. If the Brits can get away from that shitshow I wish all the best to them.

We could build up a army within a few years. Why should we? We have you as cannon food if needed.

Also please...we deal with Russia since 1500 years. Their economy is weaker than the economy of the city munich. You think we are scared by this poor country. Who else do you fear? Nigeria?

The EU is based on the same structure as the US so any criticism you have against the EU should also be directed at the US

no just stating reality. none of the European countries nor all the European countries united would have a chance against a resurgence of Russian aggression. not saying it's likely.

The world hasn't become so enlightened that there will never again be a country seeking dominance over others.. it will happen again.

I disagree with a lot of what you say, but this I 100% agree with. I live in UK and am deeply saddened by the past years. I hope we will not become the 'poodle' for USA we have been deemed as for years, but I cannot see any way we will not. Look at the people who pushed the Brexit - and then look who pays them

…..edit - and having been to US - and having lived in spain and germany in my life.... I know, myself, I would rather be part of the EU

I agree emphatically. Every European should have a solid knowledge of the early US history, because the anti-federalists were correct in most predictions and if anyone at the Philadephia convention in 1787 were told of the current state of the US they would have rejected ratification of the constitution and remained a confederation.

It starts with the rejection of the unanimity rule.

Stay on guard. Preserve your local autonomy.

You sound like the typical German who got his Ass kicked by the USA, Russia and Great Britain. We should have just divided Germany up evenly after WW2 and used your population to scrub Toilets for us. Be things that they may, there are few things I like about Germany.

Lufthansa is German Ryanair. Some of the worst service I've ever had and the airport at Frankfurt is garbage.

The German economy is about to enter serious trouble.

Is this just the typical Progressive deflection we see from our media in the USA?

"No no, look over here! Even though less people want our stuff and our social policies are coming back to bite us, it's all about Brexit!"

Have to disagree on the Porsche. Those cars are a pig that simply devours all your money until you decide to junk it.

Every costumer I had that owned one was flabbergasted at how worthless they were in a couple of years. I was considering buying a bunch of used ones ripping them apart and selling used parts to under cut the obscene dealer prices. You could do that with mercadies too if they weren't total junk in two years you'd have to buy new ones

Not a fan of German cars. Not any more anyway. Japanese is where it's at today.

    Likely China tomorrow.
