As Trump lied his way through the town hall meeting in New Hampshire in front of a largely Republican audience, he acted like a complete jerk.

Republican voters loved it. He cemented himself as the leader of the party, and, no doubt, increased his commanding lead as the Republican nominee for President in 2024.

Those Republican voters on this forum continued their silence on the issues.

    Here is why.

It is hard to accept that Trump was once our President. He was that disgusting. The more disgusting Trump became, the more his fans adored him.

Democrats, however, were cheering. They are praying Trump is the Republican candidate for President in 2024.

CNN provided an analysis of the disastrous evening.

"It’s hard to see how America was served by the spectacle of lies that aired on CNN Wednesday evening.

"Kaitlan Collins is as tough and knowledgeable of an interviewer as they come. She fact-checked Trump throughout the 70-minute town hall. Over and over and over again, she told him that the election was not stolen. That it was not rigged. That there was no evidence for the lies he was disseminating on stage.

"Trump frequently ignored or spoke over Collins throughout the evening as he unleashed a firehose of disinformation upon the country, which a sizable swath of the GOP continues to believe. A professional lie machine, Trump fired off falsehoods at a rapid clip while using his bluster to overwhelm Collins.

"Trump said the US should default on its debt if the White House does not agree to Republican spending cuts (which is contrary to his administration in every way), refused to say whether he wants Ukraine or Russia to win the war, and declined to give a straight answer on abortion."

Trump has no class, which is why his fans adore him. That is obvious from the audience's reaction to Trump.

The forum's Republicans had no response!

This comes as no surprise to anyone. Republicans only chance of winning is to not say a thing. That is particularly true when it comes to their party and their party's leader.

Paul Begala writes, "More than 400,000 Americans died from Covid-19 during the Trump presidency. 2.9 million Americans lost their jobs while former President Donald Trump was in the White House. Opioid deaths skyrocketed, and the national debt exploded by $7 trillion during Trump’s tenure.

"But in the CNN town hall, Trump told us who the real victim of this era is: Donald Trump.

"From the opening question to his last comment, Trump whined, griped and complained. It was an airing of grievances that will doubtless thrill his MAGA base, but may well motivate anti-Trump voters just as much. And there’s little indication he did enough to win over independent voters.

"This was vintage Trump: whining about the election he lost, grumbling about being indicted in New York, moaning about the jury that found him liable for the civil offense of sexual abuse and defamation. He used the first-person pronoun in nearly every sentence, sounding like a tenor warming up for the opera: “Me, me, me, me, meeeeee.”

"He failed to acknowledge the very real pain felt by so many Americans – including the millions who voted for him."

That wasn't a town hall meeting it was a CNN infomercial. I truly hope they're proud of themselves.

We saw a glimpse of what his 2024 platform will be and it is all based on the past with him airing out his grievances from the election to Covid to whatever. But I don't think many conservatives watch CNN at all and thus no commentary. But this was supposed to be a soft interview with instant fact-checking done by the moderator. And within minutes, if not seconds, it went off the rails as predicted.

I get why CNN did this. And Anderson Cooper attempted to explain this in his brief two-minute monologue a day after the Town Hall. But it showed the independents of what Trump was like, in full color, unedited, and that will be a big determining factor in the general election if Trump does not change his tune, and he won't, not anytime soon for the time being.

More Americans died from Covid under Biden than under Trump. Trump fast tracked the vaccine through the FDA that Biden was able to get vaxxed before he took office.

You use accusatory words like "moaning", "grumbling", and "griping". But you mention NO SPECIFICS.... NO FACTS... no particulars. I suspect you have no fact... just your vague... vague accusations.

You libs do that a lot. Like the Mueller Report, Steele Dossier, two impeachments and the Jan 6 kangaroo court. No criminal conviction anywhere. Vague accusations without facts is the Democrat way.

As I understand it (from PBS's "Washington Week"), Trump did take credit for putting the Justices on the Court who finally, after all the years that no one else could get it done, overturned Roe. The message, Trump was reportedly sending, was that only he could accomplish such things. He'd also said that he would sign any abortion limiting bills, that made it to his desk, as the next President. While he had declined to give a specific answer to the number of weeks he'd favored, as the cutoff point, the message was said to've been very clear that, if McConnell & McCarthy are able to get any abortion bill to his desk, Trump will sign it.

CNN has lost any credibility it may have had. They need to bring back Don Lemon in prime time.

When Iwas in Iraq we had big screen TV's set up during meals in the huge DFAC's (mess halls). They showed all the news channels. When CNN and MSNBC came on, GI's would get up and make fun of the bogus reports from Iraq. It was hilarious! You gotta love those GI's!

Covid during the Trump era was a period of one year.

Covid during the Biden era is 2 1/2 years and counting.

So that proves one of two things..... Either Democrat politicians are pure angels or they have rigged the system.

Do you think they're like Jesus.... A man with no sin?

It proves that they are either all Angels or you believe that they're all innocent.

Do a bit of critical thinking here.
