    Hello all,

I'm new here, as I'm sure all of you can guess.

I joined mainly as a means of gaining perspective on other peoples opinions, beliefs, etc.

I may drop a comment here and there, but I really just want to hear what everyone else thinks.

    So yeah... cheers. ^_^

I would suggest making at least 10 posts to clear the moderator queue in the future even if those post are made here.

Yeah, I was wondering how many of my posts would have to be viewed before I could post without delay.

Testing, 1, 2, 3, 4... Just want to see if this registration confusion is resolved.

I'm as hard-core an old-style member as the "older members" will ever find, a veteran of AriannaOnline/DebateBothSides AND Hypercrites. Any ribbing will be whole-heartedly deflated, references available, heh heh...

Dingo left a link at Hypercrites in a thread having to do with Lincoln's banning of one neuroburger, one of my friends over 5 1/2 years of discussion forums, and a doctrinaire Trotskyist with whom, though we have various (something less than myriad) disagreements, I have had a satisfying political dialectic. I hit that link by mistake, just a heavy finger on a mouse, that's why I'm here. Reckon I'll see whatchoo got going on here.

I am a socialist, and a revolutionary, though neuro and I have a current disagreement about whether or not (or to what extent) participation in any way in the current "ass-licking dying regime" (Marat/Sade)-- uh, the American political process, to include voting-- disqualifies me from being a socialist or revolutionary. I am an original Vietnam Veteran Against the War (VVAW), a Life Member, and have been an antiwar, antifascist, and environmental activist since less than a year after getting back from Viet Nam in 1970.

May God (by whatever concept any individual among you chooses to identify a concept that has no name) bless us all, every one.

Well, lessee: it is interesting that after my first post, I am listed as Newly Registered Observer (group), as, for instance, some of you who style yourselves gurus (heh heh-- I know from gurus) have made a certain number of posts.

It's interesting because I am a phenomenologist. The very science of observation, a school of psycholgy founded by the Swiss Edmund Husserl, I was exposed early to the writings of Colin Wilson, the English evolutionary existentialist philosopher and prolific author. Phenomenology is a method, not a philospophy itself, though one's commitment to work like a mental athlete in his stretch run to comprehend all the psychological phenomena which occur within him, or others, during his observation of physical phenomena might be called by that name.

At Hypercrites I am titled the Hypercritian Staff Phenomenologist.

Rib newbies, do you? I should smile, probly prod defenseless heifers too.

"Watch out, that'un's got"-- (thwaaMPP) -- (groans) -- "Ben, you all right? That 'un there's gut HORNS, I were trying t' tell ye!"

Hi, I've been here for about a week. One of the cast offs from The History Channel.

I'm a registered Republican, but have also been a registered Democrat years ago. But to tell the truth, I am more a Centrist and I have no Party loyalty. I really don't like either Party. I think they have done more to divide good Americans and stymied getting things done.

I say just what I mean and have no problem putting both Parties down. To me, my country comes first. I try and support it with every being in my heart and in my wallet. I try my hardest to support American companies over foreign.

I'm an old Marine Corp vet. I like to discuss issues. I don't like to argue just to argue. I always say what I feel and what I believe. I always try and be a gentleman in my discussions, even when I disagree. I will never tell you something I don't believe is the gospel truth.

I have recently already read that I need 10 posts before being approved or someting.

Does this mean I need to make 10 posts before ANY of them get approved?

Nope - it just means we check the first 10 posts to make sure new members aren't spammers. We try to get each of them approved as quickly as possible after they are posted (but it does obviously depend on how many staff are online and how busy they are). Once you have got through that, though, your posts will appear instantly.

Hi I am new here; I like reading about political and current events.
I enjoy researching conspiracies and posting reliable sources. I stumbled on this website in one of my Google searches and thought I join.

Hey, I registered here becomes I'm trying to find ways to garner signatures on the white house official we the people site.. I wanted to ask here if there any rules that I would be violating by posting in a forum or two, without excessive spamming. I probably won't even become an active user, I just came up with my idea last night after stumbling on the website, and I want to give it a good go so I'm going to be busy registering for as many forums as I can find. Thanks for any answers you can give me, even if I can't post nothing here.

That's what I figured was going on.

I won't have much time to learn the site until next week, but it looks fairly uncomplicated.

How long does it take before posts show in a thread? I've posted a number of times, but keep getting the "moderator has to approve yourpost" message.

Is that the way it is everytime someone posts, or only at the beginning?

Good afternoon. This looks like a nice place with a lot of different POV being expressed.

I see it takes time to get your first 10 posts approved - so that answers my main question

My other question is does the board have a message system where I can address questions to staff members

    Thanks!!

You can address question to the staff either generally by using the 'Suggestion Box', where posts will only be visible to yourself and the staff, or individually by sending a Private Message.

    Welcome to the forum.
