Article I, Section 1 of the U. S. Constitution says that: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”

This means, without argument, that all law-making authority comes from the Congress, since “legislative powers” means the power to make law.

As America grew in scope and population, the Congress could no longer handle the day-to-day requirements of governing and law-making. Consequently, they started passing on some of their law-making authority to agencies that were run by bureaucrats and these agencies became known as bureaucracies.

Bureaucracies were given the power to promulgate rules and these rules have the same force as legislative laws, accompanied by fines, penalties and even jail time if the rules are violated.

But like any political body with power and staffed by humans, these bureaucracies took on a life of their own and their power has risen exponentially over time. Since most bureaucracies fall under the executive branch of government, the rising power of the bureaucracies increased the power of the executive branch and eroded the power of the legislative and judicial branches. This is why you see Obama circumventing the Congress by issuing executive orders, or by issuing directives to his cabinet secretaries that control the bureaucracies.

This rising power of the executive branch has played havoc with the “Separation of Powers” doctrine as instituted by the Framers of the Constitution, where the three main branches of government were suppose to act to limit the power of any one branch. With the advance of bureaucracies throughout all levels of government, the chief executive of any political jurisdiction, from the President, to the governors of the states, to county executives, to the mayors of cities, have all increased their power over the people by virtue of their authority over the bureaucracies. The executive branch has taken on the trappings of a king.

But here is the rub. Bureaucracies are staffed by people that come out of our liberal colleges. Thus, the staff of the bureaucracies has a liberal mindset and promotes liberal policies, liberal philosophies and liberal agendas and this liberal mindset falls under the authority of the Executive Branch of government.

Consequently, any rules that are promulgated by the bureaucracies and come before the legislative bodies for adoption, or adopted within the bureaucracy itself, will always have a liberal bias in them. This results in an institutionalized liberal bias in all rule making by bureaucracies and forces the people to live under liberal policies without any other positions being considered. Liberals have essentially become a “Force Majeure” (superior force) throughout all levels of our government, not to mention the mainstream media.

From this we have very powerful bureaucracies like the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Education, the Department of Energy, the Department of Agriculture and many more. They adopt rules without legislative authority and without a constitutional test, in direct violation of Article I, Section 1 of the U. S. Constitution. Only actions by a legislature or a court, can undo bureaucratic rules.

If Americans do not start rolling back the power of the predominantly liberal bureaucracies, America will morph into a country where every man, woman and child is a law breaker and where a police state will rise to enforce all of the rules passed by the bureaucracies. We’re at that stage now and there are incidents of a growing police state every day, all across the country.

Just recently federal agents from the Justice Department raided the Gibson guitar company in Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee over some trumped up claim that they were using prohibited woods in their guitar manufacturing facilities, which the company emphatically denies. What is of interest is, the Martin Guitar Company uses the same woods but they weren’t raided. Some have alleged that the owner of the Martin guitar company is a heavy Democrat contributor.

When Obama nationalized the car companies, hundreds of dealers all across the country were closed by order of the Car Czar. However, it appears that Democrat-supporting dealers faired much better than Republican-supporting dealers when it came to selecting which dealers would be closed.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) came down like a ton of bricks on an Idaho couple who bought a lot near a lake to build their home. The couple obtained all the necessary building permits and started construction, when out of nowhere the EPA files a compliance order against them for filling in a wetland and forced them to not only stop work but to restore the site to its original condition and turn it into a park, at a huge cost to the couple. They are fighting back and that case is now coming before the U. S. Supreme Court, thanks to the Pacific Legal Foundation.

On the East Coast the Army Corps of Engineers filed federal charges of filling in a wetland on a man and his son, who obtained all the necessary permits to complete the filling, including permits from the Army Corps of Engineers. In a 180 degree turn around the Corps took the man and his son to federal court and was successful in convicting them of a federal crime. They were sentenced to 21 months in federal prison. During the trial, the judge denied the right of the defendants to enter into evidence the permits they had obtained.

Los Angeles County has set up a “Nuisance Abatement Team” that is nothing more than a heavily armed SWAT team. They descend on rural landowners for purported land use code violations and pile out of their black, tinted-window SUV’s with guns drawn and haul terrified landowners to court, or to jail.

We could go on and on with stories just like these but the point has been made.

This is America? No, this is a police state run by out-of-control bureaucracies. “The Parallax Prophecies” predicts that if we don’t do something now to stop them and the politicians and special interest groups that aid and abet them, the police state grows with every passing day and ladies and gentlemen, you “ain’t” seen nothing yet. It only gets worse from here.

Let me begin my comments by saying Franz Kafka had it right. America’s failed social revolution left us a multitude of bureaucracies exuding enough slime to drown the freest of people.

Hussein’s oppressive use of government bureaucracies makes Mr. Ewart’s analysis well-timed as the election draws near —— especially this:

Congress can no longer govern because the government grew in scope and population as individual liberties shrunk. Congress can easily govern if the government is restricted to the powers enumerated in the Constitution and nothing more.

The truth is that legislators do not want to govern. Have you heard any candidate say they will shutdown all of those unconstitutional bureaucracies? Hell, talk about shutting down the Department of Education has been coming out of Republican mouths for decades, yet it is still there and growing.

Wannabes do love talking about their management skills as though they will take control of the bureaucracies. Part of their B.S. says they will make bureaucracies more efficient. I’ve heard that crap coming out of candidates on the state and federal level for as long as I can remember; yet the bureaucrats grew in number, became more independent, more arrogant, and more dictatorial with each administration.

Frankly, neither Congress nor the president have the power to rein in runaway bureaucracies. Presidents like Hussein compound the problem by giving bureaucrats more governing authority. In fact, I have not heard one Republican candidate say they will send Hussein’s czars and czarinas packing. Those people are running little communist fiefdoms; so don’t expect them to go quietly. You can be sure Democrats will protect them. That’s easier than governing the country.

To rein in the bureaucracies is to rein in presidential power as this next excerpt shows:

Nobody in Congress, or in the federal courts, wants to rein in presidential power. Weaken the presidency and you eliminate the betrayals any president can get away with. More to the point the global government crowd worked long and hard to increase presidential power for the sole purpose of giving presidents the authority to commit treason. Their reason is obvious: America abandoning her independence for global government is not possible under the old separation of powers system.

Parenthetically, both Clinton and Hussein are guilty of treason, and probably the Bushes as well.

Anyway, the details and the people in the article at this link are scarier that anything I can say. I think you’ll be surprised by some of the people named and where their loyalties lie:

The enclosed article centers on a letter Senator Grassley sent to Hussein. Grassley is well-intentioned, but he must know that sending letters to Hussein will end up in the File & Forget room located in the basement of the White House.

A letter isn’t going to cut it. Conservatives in Congress must do whatever it takes to limit presidents to their constitutional authority. Every time a bureaucracy crosses the line —— Congress and the courts must slap down the president since he is responsible for the executive branch. The sad fact is:

“Nobody in Congress, or in the federal courts, wants to rein in presidential power.”

NOTE: Repeated references to the way companies and individual Americans must live within their means is wearing thin while the government spends money it doesn’t have. Everybody gets that message by now. So I’d like to see more emphasis placed on how CEOs of large companies and business owners are also held in check by the possibility of a lawsuit. There is no such check on the president. That means Americans must rely on Congress and the Supreme Court to ride herd on the presidency. I do not have to tell you how that has been going.

To be fair, members of Congress do have one saving grace: Media Crucifixion. Members of Congress making a serious attempt to rein in presidential power will be crucified in the media. (Supreme Court justices with lifetime tenure are supposedly immune to media blackmail.)

Obviously, presidents and the media are on the same page regarding presidential power. So the appropriate question is: How do you rein in the media without overturning the First Amendment?

Obama's illegal and Congressional bypassing behaviors
Is Congress Refusing to Stop the Obama Syndicate Crimes?

With all of its pretense of sending open letters to Obama pleading with him to stop his illegal and Congressional bypassing behaviors, Congress patently refuses to stop Dictator-in-Chief Obama from destroying the United States of America and enslaving its people. The latest “plea” that prompted this column is the 26 September 2011 Senator Chuck Grassley R -IA) begging letter to the US “dear leader.” In it, Grassley begins:

“Dear Mr. President:

“We write to express serious concern about your immigration policies and ask that you require the Department of Homeland Security to overturn recent directives regarding the increased use of prosecutorial discretion. We also request that the Administration halt any initiative, whether through regulation or otherwise, that circumvents Congress or aims to ensure that illegal immigrants are afforded every possibility to remain in this country.

“After the release of the June 17th Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) memorandum, which called for the increased use of prosecutorial discretion, several members of the Senate wrote to Assistant Secretary John Morton. While prosecutorial discretion is justifiable in certain cases, this initiative may result in an impermissible intrusion on Congress’s plenary authority over immigration law. Accordingly, we asked Assistant Secretary Morton to rescind the memorandum outlining ICE’s prosecutorial discretion policies. That request has been ignored.

“We are also concerned that the initiative announced by Secretary Napolitano on August 18th will result in the administrative closure of an untold number of cases currently pending before our immigration and federal courts. In combination with the June 17th ICE memo, these new policies send the message that your Administration is turning a blind eye to those who have broken our immigration laws. We are also concerned that these policies appear to be a direct attempt to categorically legalize those who are unlawfully in the country and to allow undocumented individuals to remain in violation of the law without fear of apprehension or deportation…”

Really, Senator? Ya’ think? Begging and pleading with the now obviously criminal US chief executive has done no good in the past, will do no good now or into the future. But, Congress already knows that. Remember that it has “kinda’ sorta’” joined him by establishing its own unconstitutional “Super Congress” that bypasses the will of We-the-People in favor of only twelve Congress people. But, I digress. Let’s return to the issues and Obma
rogue “presidency” of our lawbreaker-in-chief.

Here is only a very brief (compared to what he has done) Obama offense list (aka “Rap-Sheet”):

Obama’s First Executive Order (#13489) and first official act as POTUS sealed any and all past information about him, including his birth certificate, college and other school transcripts and any and all other records that could damage his invented persona. Obama became the first true “don’t ask me ’cause I won’t tell you” usurper Chief Executive

Obama introduced and—after months of trying to convince Americans it’s “for your own (and especially the Obama syndicate’s) good” and failing—then he and his (then) completely controlled Marxist-Democrat Congress forced ObamaCare down our throats. This gave Obama control over 1/6 of the American economy—to do with as he pleases (which by-the-way will NOT include health care)

The forced-upon-us Obama Stimulus (#1) gave Obama & Co the ability to further raid & gut the US Treasury—which he and his criminal band of smiley-faced demons accomplished with great relish! Today, approximately $200Billions still remain unaccounted for. Did they magically enter overseas bank accounts or DNC slush funds, perhaps? And now, Obama and the Federal Reserve are discussing another stimulus? Is this to requisition (aka “redistribute”) the rest of what once was (before Obama) OUR money?

Although Obama and US Attorney General Eric Holder continue to deny it, the Obama syndicate enacted “Operation Gunwalker: Fast and Furious.” In 2009 (see below video link to “C-span2 David Ogden Project Gun Runner Mexico March 24 2009“-changed later to “Gunwalker”), Deputy US Attorney General David Ogden told of the Obama-Holder plan. I’ve known about it since that time and have even cited it in several other columns. Why does Congress still claim ignorance? Are they actually saying that “gun runner” and “Gunwalker” are two separate programs? Give us a break

Documents show that the Obama syndicate not only “walked” guns to the Mexican drug cartels but, show that it has also, apparently, chosen sides and partnered with the Sinaloa drug cartel. This is so blatantly criminal that if ever REALLY investigated and proven—and in a sane reality—should land all the members of Obama’s illegal regime in prison

As no one is stopping him, Obama is now simply ignoring Congress, US law and the US Constitution. He has bypassed and is still bypassing US immigration law and enacting executive orders (the latest is another illegal aliens amnesty) and ignoring the law altogether by telling ICE to ignore illegals

Despite a 2010 Appeals Court ruling banning Obama’s now apparently wholly-owned and controlled FCC from enacting “Net Neutrality” (aka censorship and Obama-control of the Internet) the Obama syndicate has decided to—again—ignore the law. The FCC is currently engaged in enacting this court-banned program

Obama has appointed and continues to appoint members of the Muslim Brotherhood (the parent organization of Al-Qaeda and Hamas amongst others) to high-level US government positions—many of them involving US Security!—and has recently announced that the Obama syndicate will now have formal relations with this avowed enemy of the USA

These are only the tip of the iceberg of Obama’s patently illegal and treasonous activities. In saner and more ethical times, almost any one of the above would have led to his removal from office and possible—or likely—imprisonment.

We used to have moral, ethical, honorable and courageous men and women in our country’s leadership. Tragically, those days seem to have passed. But, have the days of all of our so-called leaders actually wanting and working toward the continuation of the USA as a Republic also passed by the wayside?

We now have a resident of what was once our White House working every day to ensure We-the-People become his—and his alone—willing slaves. Every program and action he takes proves it. Yet, no one in any leadership position tries, except via pretense, to stop him and his minions. Our leadership is bereft of bravery and honesty. Even many of those who claimed to be constitutionalists now seem top have joined the establishment. We MUST elect only those with a proven record of being strong and ethical. Do any of you still remember Ronald Reagan? He would never have folded as the RINOs have now done. We need that kind of leader now. If we fail, please make sure you have weapons at the ready and enough ammo to last a long time. I think you’ll need it.
