I think that race discriminations might be problem again, because economy problem and discriminations are connected. When everything is good, no one asks for other people... but now, in crisis, people in Europe makes some embarrassing question - how is it possible that foreigner can get a job when i'm unemployed? p.s. Sorry for my english, I'm still learning...
There is not any discrimination against women in government jobs in Western Europe. In fact, it is just the opposite. You might find just a few prejudices in the police jobs in more rural areas. But Russia and eastern europe are completely different. In a way, communism brought gender equality, but feminism has not yet taken hold in eastern europe. Which is to say that the historical causes of gender equality in eastern europe are completely different from the west, and as such the types of discrimination are somewhat different. The racial discrimination is never going to go away. Indeed, in some ways, as the racial diversity in Europe increases, there will simply be more racism. The USA and India, for example, are both marked by long lasting historical racial and caste divissions. I do not think increased racial diversity will lead to a healthier society. Also to mention, most racial "discrimination" is not intentional discrimination. Which is to say that most people who discriminate are not purposefully trying to help their own people and spite the outsiders. Subconcious reactions to differences in physical appearances, and cultural differences play a large role.
