Corruption, complicated by a carbon footprint includes waste, fraud, abuse, graft, and human rights violations.

Cost-passing inflates the false value, of corruption. Greed breeds, with stupidity, in humans.

The Earth is sick, so we are in the early stages of Mass Extinction Event 6.

You can't attack all this, with carbon credit scams and arguing. Re-green, or accept human die-offs, soon.

Wasn't that adverse genetic claim based on this study?

    http://www.monsanto.com/newsviews/Pages/Austrian-Government-Withdraws-Maize-Fertility-Study.aspx

    From the link...

Austrian Government Withdraws Study Claiming Monsanto Maize Products Reduce Fertility

"On November 11, 2008 the Austrian Federal Ministry for Health, Family and Youth released a report on three studies assessing the impact of biotech corn on reproduction. Of the three studies, only one showed potential impacts of GM corn. One of this study’s authors, Dr. Jürgen Zentek, summarized the findings to state that "mice fed with GM maize had less offspring in the third and fourth generations, and these differences were statistically significant. Mice fed with non-GM maize reproduced more efficiently." The GM corn tested contained both MON 810 (Bt/insect resistance) and NK603 (Roundup Ready®) traits"

    and....

"Austrian government representatives told the European Commission’s Standing Committee for the Food Chain and Animal Health on October 19 that the study did not present a satisfactory statistical analysis of the data."

    and....

"A broad body of scientific evidence indicates there are no effects from these products on reproduction. Several reproductive toxicity studies have previously been conducted with these products. None of the findings suggested negative effects. More than 20 regulatory authorities worldwide have determined that maize containing MON 810, NK 603 and the combination of the two traits are as safe as conventional maize.

At Monsanto’s request, two internationally recognized experts on reproductive toxicology have reviewed the online report:"

Seems the claims in the OP are nothing but hyperbole.

    I don't buy this OP.

I tracked the links to a book written in German (or some other language I dont know), so thats a dead end.

Googled "genetically modified food causes sterility" and found this is all based on 2 studies performed by Russians in Russian labs in 2009. The papers backing up the studies have not been released, but the results have been released.

Other than some unpublished and not-repeated studies, there is nothing to this claim. Organic types have grabbed the topic and have repeated the claim as if its true, but there is nothing to back it up.

The problem is releasing a study with faulty scientific conclusions. I am all for getting at the truth but this kind of pseudo-scientific witch-hunt most likely funded by pro so-called "Organic" operatives does nothing to even try to get to the truth. You do realize that so-called "organic" foods is a scam....don't you?

Triangulation, see my post about the Austrian study that was withdrawn. They could be fabricating a story based on that.

Not really. My whole point is that why is Monsanto so (*)(*)(*)(*) powerful? They don't even make superior products comparable to other companies. Their seeds are not even more fertile than what farmers have been using in American agriculture since before the First World War.

You can strike at this disease with a simple protection of property rights. Strike at it again with some very simple public safety regulations. Won't have those regulations with the FDA or Department of Agriculture, either so don't act like more Government is the solution.

It's a tricky issue but the point I'm making is that Monsanto comes after politicians and judges because they are of unlimited power. They can force anything upon the people as they see fit so Monsanto walks in with a suitcase of cash or a campaign contribution and they magically see it their way.

There is nothing to support the premise of the OP. If you really want to be informed about an issue don't base your opinions on rhetoric espoused by a self published charlatan like the "health ranger". Instead, review the methodology of the study, analyze the empirical data/results generated by the experiments/observations and evaluate the credibility of the conclustions made by the scientists in the context of their data and publication. Being the study references in the OP can't be found on the web ( I couldn't find it if some else has please link it) what basis do you have for accepting the 'health rangers' conclusions? If you really want to be 'informed' analyze the primary scientific literature yourself otherwise you are accepting the position of a second party who are likely equally or even more dubious than monsanto.

You haven't read all the posts, at this thread. The OP refers to an Austrian study, which hasn't been disproven, and I posted links to that study and to subsequent articles.

We're still waiting, for global warming students to all get over to the coral studies, which prove every time CO2 concentration rose, partly as fast, as it is rising today, life forms couldn't adapt, so a mass extinction event happened. Even scientists who advocate human-caused global warming haven't put this together.

You need to read all the posts, at a thread, before you write about your falied searching.

In this thread, It has been mentioned by myself and others that the Austrian study referenced in the OP has been withdrawn because the data did not support the conclusions drawn by the authors. The study was crap yet that hasn't stopped the ignorant or those who have an agenda from running with it even though it was withdrawn some time ago.

Don't lecture me about reading all of the posts in a thread when you clearly haven't done so yourself.
    http://www.gmo-compass.org/eng/news/499.austria_withdraws_study_long_term_consequences_gm_maize.html

"Previously both EFSA and some national authorities had examined the results of the feeding study and had come to the conclusion that no inferences could be drawn from the report since the data were incomplete and contradictory. In addition, important information necessary for a scientific evaluation of the study was missing."

The pro-'organic' market seems to have an organized hit group that continually targets Monsanto because Monsanto's products enable farmers to grow more insect free food. Moreover, the yearly bumper-crops afforded by Monsanto seeds is a threat to the 'organic' market.

BTW all crops are 'organic' whether they have come from genetically modified seeds or heirloom seeds. The 'organic' label is meaningless basically. However, if one slaps an 'organic' label on some produce, one can charge probably more than double for it. It's simply a scam.

That being said, if you STILL don't want to eat commercially grown corn I have a solution. You do realize that corn grows in dirt don't you? Get some corn seed, find some dirt and PLANT YOUR OWN.

The plants grow 100 times more pesticide than normal. Yes, it kills the bugs, it also kills the bees. Oh, but it's goo for you.. Open your eyes.

Home gardens and even family farms are going to be outlawed. They've already started doing this.

OH, and haven't you heard? Monsanto seed gets blown onto your property and starts to grow... They sue you and take everything you have. Go ahead and deny it. I dare you.

Good that genetically modified things choose to die out. Shows that there is a god, everything knows this, except we humans.

You missed the OP's reference, to a report, of an Austrian study, which shows FOOD CONSUMPTION of GM corn leads to degeneration of fertility, over several generations, of mice.

You leaped, past your first fallacy, to claim "there is a god," with a small g. "Except" leads to an object, which means (US) humans, so don't use the pronoun, if you can't use it, correctly.

Don't play the god card, if one of them isn't making you use English, correctly. So what do you call yours? John? Jupiter Optimus Max? Benny? J.Edgar? Elmer Fudd? Pray, for specific guidance.

That is such bull. There are differences but the differences apply to the general life of the animal or plant. Also, the reason genetically modified foods have to be raised is altered is because they live in a local ecosystem surrounded by similar plants, which is something you will never find in nature due to natural selection and competition. Usually ecosystems with predominantly one type of plant become wiped out due to disease and infestations. Smaller mixed farms don't have to deal with these issues because many sustainable farms handle their local eco systems well with diverse animal products.

Tomatoes now are picked before they are ripe then gassed in cooler containers to keep that red color, because customers associate red tomatoes with freshness. But they are not fresh, most tomatoes are at least a week old at most grocery stores. Raw LOCAL tomatoes are the best tomatoes because they are actually fresh. And yes these are usually organic. Tomatoes are now engineered to be more stiff but at a cost of flavor. How is that better? Waiting fossil fuels, energy, so you can eat some B grade tomato. Organic is usually a better product not because of the of how it's grown because it fresher. Vegetables rot and decay the moment they are picked, the moment decay begins so does it's nutritional value.

So yes LOCAL organic is usually fresher overall and better tasting. Granted you make a point with the organic term being used for marketing purposes. But to think that GMO foods has no effect on the product is incredibly naive, and disappointed so if you study science or genetic science. For example chickens being fed GMO corn feed and antibiotics have been show to keep those traces of antibiotics in their systems. Which you are not consuming http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/539186_406178352763168_1958176344_n.jpg. Organic meat are is far superior to non organic meat because typically non organic meat is fed food that is unnatural to the animal. Cows suppose to eat grass, that's what that have evolved to eat, not corn. It's damages their digestive system affecting the quality of the meat.

Seriously where do you guys get this stuff, have you ever had a fresh picked strawberry? Or a fresh picked tomato? Do you not understand that the natural process of decay and life take effect the moment vegetation and fruits are picked?

Granted eating any veggies is better then eating none, but to say local organic is not better then conventional vegetation or fruits is just silly. Same way local organic is better then the USDA organic, because USDA organic still transported long distances, they are just not genetically modified and cannot be altered with pesticides or preservatives.

Nature decals, the rest is up to you to think about.

And organic meats are always superior to non organic. Taste way better too!!

In order to become certified organic you have to pass an inspection and you can not have used any pesticides or chemical fertilizer for five years i think.

With livestock the rules are a little more lax (i think you can vaccinate) but it is still very expensive. Organic will not work where I live ( those stinkin fire ants again). But I try to be as "product free" as possible...not because I am trying to save the earth, but because i am trying to save money.

Monsanto corn is not that great. The protein is much less than the dent corn grown a few years back.

You used to be able to raise pigs on almost a complete diet of corn ....try that with Monsanto corn and they will slowly starve.

You have to "heat up the mix" with other imputs.
