Almost every American black person (not recent African arrivals) is a mixture of white and black. And there are a lot of apparent white people who have black ancestors as well, especially in the South.

Now, based upon historical evidence, there's probably good reason for American blacks to hate their white cousins. But while blacks and whites are cutting each other's throats the rest of the world is passing our country by. It might be better if our society tried to function as a unified force instead of acting like members of assorted tribes. After all, this is the 21st Century. It's not 1789. We are all related if our ancestors have been here for centuries.

That implies that it was OK because someone sold their captured countrymen. So if that was OK then it should be OK for someone to capture and sell you as well.
